Spot is very secluded for being by the highway. Car noise is minimal. Fall asleep by the sound of the waves. Spot is shaded so solar is not going to work very well.
There is no more smell as reported by the previous traveler.
Report Check-Inplace smells really bad. someone dumped their literal shit here, not even in the woods. just right next to the parking lot on the left. went up the road. louder but at least it doesn’t stink and has better views.

In night calm to sleep here
This is a special spot, even if it's just a pullout. I stayed here two nights with no issues. It does get busy during the day, but most people come and go relatively quickly. Within walking distance to many oceanic wonders! Stop by the visitor center for info, then walk down to Cape Cove Beach for a magical sunset view. Suitable for vehicles up to 30ft or so, if you're good at backing in. Solid, usable Verizon signal. Highly recommend.
Report Check-InGreat, small pull off surrounded by bushes. Perfect for a van or smaller. Sheltered from cars and wind, minimal road noise and nice crashing waves to drown it out. Was the only one through the night, a few people hanging out walking around to Thors well in the evening while I cooked dinner on my tailgate, all were super friendly!
Had good enough t-mobile data to steam! But only when I left my phone in the front half of my car, no signal further from the road

Report Check-InFew other vehicles parked on Friday night, so far no issues. Quite, low traffic. Most other places on Oregon Coast have "no camping, no overnight parking" signs.
