Nice park near the river that does not allow overnight parking. You can park here during the day and enjoy the river park and also walk to “RAD”- River Arts District. Great place to run or walk the dog.
I ended up staying at a nice Campground next door, Wilson’s Riverfront RV Park. About $50 for a full hookup. Nice folks and the location is right on the French Broad River. It’s a bit tricky getting in if you’ve never been here before as it sits at the base of an interstate off- ramp. I couldn’t hear any noise my well-insulated Sprinter van. Very simple park with 50 or so spots. Make reservations ahead of time. Asheville is busy any time of year nearly.
Stealth parked overnight 2 nights (non consecutively) and slept in both times. No problems. Flat, good sun, pretty quiet. Nothing bigger than a 22ft vehicle will fit, btw. Take your RV elsewhere.
Report Check-Instayed one night without issues. quiet, dark, perfect spot. possibly better than the previous lot everyone used to park at 💔 we ended up parking in the paved lot, realized in the morning that there's a sign that says 'park closes at dark,' but we didn't have any issues. not sure if the sign applies to the lot or just the trails, but parking in the gravel might be a better bet for several nights.
Report Check-InPlenty of parking for camper vans or small buses. Right along the river close to FBO main entrance. Very busy during operating hours but quiet at night.
Report Check-InThe site has many available FLAT spots. Very peaceful and quiet. porta potty and playground are here too. Just pull off to any of the available spots before reaching the gate of The French Broad Outfitters.
