Description

A beautiful location on the beach with a large river running along the side of the property. They rent hammocks and pavilions along the beach. They also have a bamboo forest next to the river with shady spots to camp and relax. Tent camping is 50 pesos per night. Good wifi for 30 pesos per day. Large caravan parking for 200 pesos per day. Only locals use the area and you'll find it very quiet at night.

Not really big rig friendly , narrow turn off and not any sort of level place to park. Nice area however and very friendly people.

This place is what traveling in Mexico is all about! The hospitality shown to us by the elderly couple has been phenomenal. They are kind, very resourceful, and leave you alone until you need something. Electricity is provided if needed. Nice cool showers (it’s quite warm so you’d never need heated showers, but we were informed that they are available in the house if needed!).
During the independence weekend when most places were blasting music like crazy, this quiet refuge provided us with tranquility and peace. Fantastic river to cool off by floating downstream is only surpassed by NO SAND FLEAS on the beach. Had lots of fun in the surf too. I highly recommend this place for several days to recharge your traveling batteries.

Previous description are accurate but better to avoid the place during the weekends or during the Semana Santa weeks.
While the camping was peaceful the palapa on the other side had loud music all night. We crossed the river and checked with them if it was only for the Saturday but they said loud music was expected the whole day and also the night again.
Regretfully we decided to leave.

As described by everyone else but I can’t even begin to explain what a kind, welcoming and caring person Señora Güera is and how lovely the family are. This is their home as well as their business and they treat you like family. Nothing is too much trouble. There are a couple of spots for campers. We’re in a truck camper from the UK and there was plenty of room but you’d struggle to get big rigs in. The camping is nicely tucked away from the wind and is also separate to the palapas where local families visit during the day. Super quiet at night. WiFi was good. No cell service. We came for 2 nights and stayed for 6. We had everything that we needed, water, power, WiFi, beach, river to cool off in, a store in walking distance and the most welcoming family ever. 200 pesos a night and 30 pesos per person per day for WiFi. A bargain for the hospitality alone, let alone the facilities available. Very dog friendly and safe as well as some very friendly local dogs. Highly recommend.

The place is great! The actual name of the campground is La Güera, after the owner Señora Güera, who is the nicest lady ever!

They provide electricity, table, chairs, and hammocks! Toilet is clean, but without a seat. Showers are cold, but it’s warm outside. If it’s cold outside, Señora Güera will let you take a hot shower inside her house.

There is tons of shade and cover from wind off the ocean. Animals all around: iguanas, chickens, turkeys, huge frogs, all sorts of birds. You can even catch some fish in the river right off the property!

Only downside is food, just small convenience stores, mo restaurant. Make sure to stock up before arriving.

Wow all I say is that these people are absolutely brilliant, so so friendly. provided us with a light / electrical point, & a table and chairs, cooked us fish as we ran out of food and all places were closed. there is great natural protection against the strong north wind. there isn't much height clearance but we were grand in one of the locations with our transit van. They have toilets out behind their house, haven't tried them yet but I'm sure they're manageable. we got wifi for 25 pesos, which is pretty fast. We asked how much it is, but the lady just said whatever you want to give.
However, with everything provided, it's nothing compared to these lovely people, some of the nicest we've met so far!!
