We wanted to spend a night at this place but when we arrived in front of the entrance everything was closed and the gate locked with a chain and a padlock!!. I also called the number indicated on the site but I got a voicemail. I left a message but no response from the owner... I don't know if this location is still open or if it is a temporary closure?

Report Check-In

This place is an absolute paradise!
So far the best campsite we have had in 5 months in México. Sean the owner is incredibly friendly and really makes you feel welcome. John and Dana who are currently looking after the site are an added bonus and really do everything they can to make you feel at home! The site has everything you need as a camper: clean showers and toilets, drinking water, dump station, washing machine, community kitchen and a wonderful beach with white sand, palm trees and palapas everywhere providing shade. This place is just perfect and feels like paradise on earth come true!

Report Check-In

Amazing place!
Firstly it’s very beautiful, then it’s super quiet (even if it’s close to the road it’s quite isolated), and finally the bathrooms are super clean. And it has Wifi :)
We had to leave after one night but we would love to come again!

Careful, the entrance is a bit difficult to see from the highway, it’s a discreet portal.

Report Check-In

we stayed a few nights here. contaced Sean before via Whatsapp anf it worked fine. the place is georgous. It was with the best beach we had in Mexico
the owner is super friendly and helps you with everything. we were off-season and were alone. the pets are very well-behaved (they barked when we arrived but we were friends very soon).

Report Check-In

It’s a little corner of paradise. We thought we would stay 2 nights, but in the end we stayed 6 nights because it was so quiet! There are a few cabañas but we had our van so no need. Showers and toilets available. As we were alone Sean offered us to settle near a palapa to have more privacy. Washing machine on site 50 pesos. Camping rates 350pesos (for 2 with the van)
It’s Better to cal or text Sean before arriving, because there is a gate to enter. See picture.
He has whatsApp +52 938 124 4089

Beautiful place right by the sea. Showers and toilets available. 350 pesos/night. Adjacent to the Mex180 federal highway, so it can be a bit noisy at night.

**English below**

----
We have stayed at this beach three times, the last time for nearly three months, in a 7.5-meter van, as a couple with our dog. For context, we need electricity because we work during the week.

This place is simply wonderful, the most beautiful campsite we have seen in Mexico:
- The beach is clean and the view is magnificent.
- The hosts are exceptional, very helpful. They have turned this place into a true paradise.
- The beach has Wi-Fi over several hundred meters.
- The place is pet-friendly.
- The showers are almost always hot.
- At night, the starry sky is superb; you can observe constellations.

I have no negative points to highlight about this location.

Moreover, to avoid confusion for future van-lifers, I wish to address a previous comment from a lady who mentioned that the beach was a hell due to mosquitoes and that the hosts did not like children. The only inconvenience during our three-month stay occurred upon their arrival. Their children were loud, broke objects, stole, mistreated the dogs, and caused a lot of damage to the place. Following this, a minimum age of 15 years has been set for children at the campsite.
And yes, indeed, there are a few mosquitoes when the wind blows the wrong way, a big surprise so close to the mangroves...

This is a great spot! We recently stayed at this beach location and it surpassed all expectations. Initially planning for a week-long stay, we found ourselves so happy with the place that we extended it to three weeks. This spot is ideal for adults seeking tranquility and privacy with a touch of community, highlighted by breathtaking sunsets that create a serene and relaxing atmosphere.

We originally went to Freedom Shores but we had a necessity for reliable internet to work remotely, which this beach spot provided for our Starlink access.

The facilities were comprehensive, including electricity, water, trash at the sites, fast Wi-Fi, showers, laundry, and even a forthcoming dump station for grey and black tanks The beach itself offered serene walks, contributing to the overall peaceful environment.

We stayed in a private spot equipped spot with a palapa, alongside access to a kitchen and additional chairs and tables, enhancing the comfort of our stay. The hosts were attentive, ensuring we had drinking water and checking on us periodically.

Both cold and hot water showers were available, catering to different preferences. The beach was not only pet-friendly but also maintained cleanliness, making for a pleasant environment throughout the stay. For those interested in astronomy, the stargazing opportunities here are fantastic, thanks to the clear skies and peaceful surroundings.

Despite the ongoing expansion and amenity enhancements the hosts are working on, the construction was not disruptive, allowing for an undisturbed stay. This place is especially perfect as a winter getaway, and we are already looking forward to returning!

Report Check-In

Beautiful campground on the beach with everything you need. There are palapas on the beach with hammock, chairs, a place to cook. Newly built hot showers (the one on the right is really hot).
Calm place to stay with friendly host. Mosquitos can be annoying.
350 pesos per night.

Report Check-In

Campground update:

After taking into consideration the property damage and insurance liability, as well as other campers complaints, we have decided that Wild Beach is not suitable for children. Therefore we will no longer be accepting children under the age of 15 years old.

Great quiet place a beautiful little paradise.
I stop in for one day and ended up 7 days.
Great staff
Hot showers
Great community kitchen

Thank you Toby and Steve! Now there is 2 new hot Showers. Relaxed Place and wonderful Hosts. Highly recommended. See you again hopefully.

Report Check-In

This place is absolutely gorgeous and paradise. It is the perfect place to clear your head and relax. The hosts there are the most welcoming and friendly hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. and I would now call them friends! The place is a dream with all the comforts you would never expect on a wild private beach such as really good WiFi, private showers. The wildlife here is stunning and a joy to watch. There are 2 private showers and 2 beach showers, 5 toilets and a huge kitchen area to relax with hammocks inside and outside. Depending on the wind, and the closer to the road you get you get more bugs but only out during sunsets, occasionally you can have the mossies in the evening if it's a particularly humid day but that's the only downside which you would expect in a wild untouched beach. It's fantastic value for your money. We stayed for 6 days and I'm truly grateful to have been to this place and met Tobi and Steve.

Report Check-In

When we got to the gate, it was closed but I just walked in an looked for the hosts. Be aware that the hosts dogs are roaming free and one jumped on me directly and scratched my legs. If you don’t like dogs, tell them from a afar „stop!“. Tobi is a wonderful host and they truly created a paraiso here. Today they installed the hot water for the showers. We would have loved to spent more nights here but the „no-see-um“ flies have been so horrible for two nights, that we did not sleep. We also moved our camper to a different spot in hope that the flies would go away, but they also came the second night. Also DEET mosquito spray did not work for them..ouch!

Report Check-In

Really beautiful campsite with super nice camp hosts!
The sea is a dream and so is the beach.
My personal highlight with the facilities - a shower on the beach 🏝️.
Yes, the road could be further away, but life is not a concert of wishes 😉 and something is always a bit louder in México.

Great place with super friendly couple and their lovely dogs! Stayed here on New Years Eve and had the best celebration. They even made Hot Dogs for everyone and a fire on the beach.
There‘s a big kitchen, drinking water for free, hammocks, private palapas for every place, clean showers and toilets. Grocery stores only a short drive away.
They made us feel welcomed from the first minute, we loved it. Highly recommended!!!

It's a paradise! You can chill in the big communal kitchen in a hammock or sit at a table, there is a lot of space. Everything is clean. Tobi & Steve are wonderful hosts! They are building inside showers at the moment (in addition to the beach showers). Oh and the dogs are very lovely too 😄 We stayed 11 days and would come back anytime.

Wow what a lovely spot! We were able to directly camp on the beach. There is electricity, showers and toilets. We really liked the community kitchen and the hosts were just super friendly. We went for groceries together to the next town, did camp fires and they even shared food. Thank you so much and we hope our way leads us back! :-)

Report Check-In

For someone who loves beaches, this place is sweet. Very private beach and nice sourroundings. The community room / kitchen is good. Drinking water and dishes available.
Only beach showers, but good pressure.
When we were here, it’s was windy the hole night and our truck with rooftoptent was shaking, but the good side we had no insects at the beachfront. You could camp off the beach, but then you have the insects and roadnoise. So choose wisely!
The WiFi (Starlink) is from the couple, who’s actually helping there. Unfortunately the repeater isn‘t very well, so you have spotty connection and more hustle than happiness, when connected to it.

After all we liked it here and it’s a good stop, when heading to Yucatán or back!

Report Check-In

Our favorite place in Mexico!! A quiet, relaxed place with a dream beach, beautiful sunsets, palm trees, very fast Wi-Fi, a large communal kitchen, palapas, toilets and hammocks. What more could you want? You can simply chill out on the beach or do some work or research on your laptop with a view of the turquoise blue sea. The hosts are super friendly and spoiled us with delicious cupcakes, churros etc.
Definitely a great stop if you're on your way from Chiapas/Tabasco to Yucatan. We originally wanted to stay for 2 days and ended up staying here for a total of 11 days! We can't understand any negative reviews about this place, just look at the Pictures :)

I really can't Unserstand the Last two negative Reviews. this Place ist a Paradies with White Sand, nice water to swim and a lot of amneties Like shower at the Beach and palapas for shade, kitchen with Drink water and a big fridge and flush toilets. The Guys from truckoverlanders which manage this awesome campground are really lovely people and tried Always to Help overlanders with any Kind of Problems. Here live also 3 playful dogs. We Love this Place and can highly recommend! the sunsets are amazing! The price ist now 350 Pesos per night.

Report Check-In

Be careful, this place is fake. The messages written before are made by the owners with the help of “truck life overlanders”. it's a catastrophe. we're on the road so much and the trucks are so noisy that we can't hear each other talk. there are a lot of mosquitoes, the ground is filled with very aggressive ants. there is no network and no wifi. the water advertised as drinkable is entirely yellow. the toilets are closed all night. they have 3 extremely aggressive dogs that come and eat under your table and bark all the time. if there is hell on earth it's here

Indeed what a gorgeous and “tranquilo” place. Lots of places for camper of all sizes and nice cabins for rent. Place is managed by a very friendly English couple and from early October they will be full time present.
The clean beach and sunsets are spectacular, this is one of those unspoiled places where Overlanders want to be.
We paid 300 Mex / night and the washing machine is 50 Mex per load.

beautiful spot! you're kind of in the middle of nowhere, but it's a lovely spot with a gorgeous white sand beach. the water is turquoise and very nice for swimming, but it's not clear - it's kind of cloudy.

there are lots of options to choose from for where to park, and if you have 4wd there's some really great spots. if no 4wd, your options are much more limited.

call first so Sean can give you instructions for how to get in. Its an unmarked driveway, with a locked gate, so you need to call or WhatsApp him first.

price was 300 pesos a night for 2 of us, 350 if we wanted to use the electricity.

Came for 1 week staying for 2. Sean is super chilled as is this campsite. The place is beautiful and the beach and water are like our paradise. Washing machine on site, 50 pesos a wash. Showers on the beach. Great communal kitchen area. Camping on beach for 4x4. Hard area camping for anyone not wanting to go on the beach. Cabins available for rent. Nearest town is about 7km and doesn’t have the best grocery options. Stock up before you come if you don’t want to go out once here. Big fridge and freezer in communal kitchen. Dog friendly but watch the cats with your dog lol!

Report Check-In

now it's 300 Pesos/vehicle/night - great place to stay, white sand beach, turquoise water. Only the road is a little bit annoying - it's better on weekends because there aren't so many trucks

Report Check-In

wow. this place is a gem. camping right on the beach. the ocean is perfect for kids especially in the day. showers outside bathroom. big palapas.

Report Check-In

We were in a 4x4 so able to drive to the palapa at the far end which is an amazing place to camp, only a few meters from the sea, with a huge palapa to escape the sun. When we were there it was really windy which was a shame because I suspect that without wind it would be a classic white sand green-blue sea paradise.

There were 2 campervans in the car park when we got there which was already starting to look a bit crowded, so definitely worth messaging Sean beforehand to avoid disappointment .

Report Check-In

Sean Westwood says: The place is not officially open yet, we are still working on it. Please give me a call, before you come. Cel. 938 124 4089 or Mail [email protected].
I can tell you then if it is possible or not to stay here.
Since Sean and his friend are bildung here a really nice place with cabanas and some places for tents and rigs it is really needed to ask them. Don't be disappointed, if you just show up and there is no opportunity for you. They are really nice people and give their best to serve everybody. We were lucky and stayed here three nights just to enjoy the birds, the quiet and clean beach and the nice water with not too high waves. Maybe you are lucky too...but please ask first. Sean says thank you for that.

Report Check-In

Cute campground on the beach. There's trees and bushes that make a fence between the campground and the highway so you don't hear the traffic. Loved how each camping spots or cabin have their own outdoor shower. There's also a hot shower hut near by. Clean Bathrooms. 200 pesos for 2 people in a van.

Report Check-In

Fantastic spot and really nice beach. We have a 4x4 so we were able to park away from the parking lot and near one of the secluded palapas (with outlet and outdoor shower). Super chill. 250 pesos/night with power.

This place was awesome if you want a simple beachfront experience. True to other recent posts, the place is under construction. Sean is building a handful of cabins that aren’t done yet, so he let us stay for $200 pesos. There are bathrooms, a few palapas, running water, and some hammocks. Other than that, it’s just you and the wild beach. Bring everything you need; there’s not much else around. And bring bug spray and nets: the mosquitos and sand fleas were ferocious.

Sean has a bit of paradise growing here.
it is not ready yet so he charged us 200 pesos wich is really nice for what you get.
a big flat place to park your van

he has a comunal kitchen wich we didn't try
and there is electricity if you have a long power cord +we didn't try it

we had a really nice night here and a couple of nice dips in the sea. and collected shells.
oh and a one more plus the are no mosquitos on the beach :)
we recommend stoping here

This place is not open yet. I spoke the friendly Canadian owner Sean. He told me it would be open around March 2023. We could stay the night here in our camper although he mentioned that bathrooms and toilets were not finished yet. Since we don't need them we were happy to stay there. When it will be finished and open it will be lovely with cabañas and palapas and everything else Javier mentioned in his post.
