Despite being marked as 'closed' on ioverlander I drove by today and there are multiple people obviously camping there. I talked to some local tahoe friends and they said multiple people appear to live in this parking lot. pretty sure for now you won't be hassled if you park here.

Slept here for a night and other campers came later. They were quite noisy and were slamming their doors, talking loudly. Other than that it’s a decent spot for a night.

stayed two night no problem. Left during the day and came back. a local police officer did say they call them from time to time and have them remove people in the mornings but we did not get that.

Sufficient place to stop overnight. I went in and asked the manager at TJ Maxx and they said it won’t be a problem. Very quiet night. Definitely a few rundown vehicles that look like they live there so I would probably only do it short term and in a pinch.

Slept two nights here without issues. Several other campers the first night and one the second. We all cleared out early. First night it had snowed and I was kept awake by plows for about an hour during the night, but they didnt mess with me and the second night it hadnt snowed and it was relatively quiet.

Spent a night here. RVs and auto camperers. No interruptions. Great Bakery and Cafe nearby. Little noisy in evening and early morning, but not too bad
