Description

Really nice spot at the Iron Mt trailhead. A little busy with traffic but we slept right through. Well-lit with street lights. Toilets. Very beautiful. Lots of people in and out but mostly empty at night. Trail cameras on all the street lights help you feel a little better about theft. Has a lot of parking! Large enough for RV and trailers. Good for multi-night stay. Great phone reception for t-mobile. Also has a large dumpster and no 'no overnight parking' signs.

Large parking lot at trailhead off busy intersection

Report Check-In

Place as described. Did hear road noise until midnight but ear plugs work great.

Toads croaking at night were cool.

Report Check-In

I got here after 9pm. Road noise, but not nearly as bad as being next to a freeway. Well lit. Strong cell coverage. I'll update this if there are any issues overnight.

Nice quiet place to stay overnight. No water but there’s a pit toilet. There were only two other vehicles in the lot when we got there around midnight. Couldn’t see any no overnight parking signs.

Report Check-In

I was able to spend a couple of nights here in my van with no issues (besides the parking lot being super packed, which is expected) but on the third night I had a couple of neighbors, including a small RV. That night a cop came around saying he’d been notified about our presence, and graciously said I could stay but that I had to leave the next day. I asked if it was legal to park overnight and he said no. So I’d say you’re probably okay for one or maybe two nights if you’re not an RV, but keep in mind it’s not technically legal.

I like this place, the trails are great. Got a knock on my second night, officer is nice enough to let me leave in the morning. I eavesdropped when he talked to the other van and he's letting him stay an extra day. Nice dude!

Super convenient, awesome hiking trails, great sunset! TONS of traffic as it’s a popular spot next to the intersection of two main roads. 3-4 strong bars of Verizon 5G. No issues.
