Palouse to Cascade State Park Trail
Beautiful site at the base of a towering ridgeline. Beautiful spot for sunset. Extremely quiet. Only a few cars passed by and everyone was friendly. Because it’s in the valley it is a bit windy but that adds to the site’s beauty.

This could be a beautiful spot ... but the trailer load of dumped apples are still there. Left and found a great spot half a mile to the NW.(Tortuga Flats)
Report Check-InWe got there at night and discovered all the glass shards littering the ground. And so so so many shotgun shells. So much litter. So much glass. So many… apples? Yes, there was a huge pile of rotten apples there. Also a sign saying you need the discover pass to stay. No one came by to check (it felt very secluded) but we still purchased one since we will be in Washington a while. The views were beautiful, just a shame how much trash there was.
Report Check-InLocated about 500 feet off the south side of the road, which is good gravel for about 3 mi if coming from west. This spot is a bit messy - looks like it gets used as a gun range. But it's got a really nice view.
