Manzanita Public Parking | Overnight Prohibited

There is a non sleeping in vehicule policy in Manzanita. A super nice cop came and said that we could get a 500$ ticket each if we stayed overnight. We just left and find another safe spot.

Asked a cop from the police station accross the street about overnight parking, not allowed! He said there's a $500 fine.

We tucked in at the back corner of this lot in our stealth van, but I guess the cops knew what to look for in a camper. Officer Mike came knocking at 6am to tell us he won't ticket us and that we're fine here...then why bother waking us up?

As described, very quiet and safe. Close to everything (it's a very compact town).

Stayed here for 2 nights in our RV with no issues at all. Left during the day but came back for the evenings. Highly recommend sleeping here. Didn’t have any issues with cops!

Stayed there on a saturday night, good spot as described but at 6:20 am an officer woke us up saying there is an ordinance in Manzanita, camping in your car is not allowed. He was nice and did not ticket us but he said that if someone calls to denounce he'd be obliged to ticket us.
We have a discrete small rig, a sprinter was also there and got the same message.

overnight parking and camping is forbiden on City Limit. An officer come à 6AM knock on our camper van

There is a large gravel lot here for public parking, no signs against overnight parking. People park there during the day to go to the coffee shop next door, but it's quiet at night, with a police station across the street. I stayed for 2 nights and left my van there most of the day. It's a good spot for walking around the cute little town of Manzanita. There are also restrooms across the street! (white building)
