Ushers Road State Forest: Camping is regulated here, as it is wherever it is permitted on all NYSDEC properties. See the regulations. You can follow the link below to the NYSDEC webpage for information about the property: https://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/107491.html
"There are no designated campsites; but primitive camping is allowed. Camping must be at least 150 feet away from a water body, road or trail. Camping for more than three nights or in a group of ten or more requires a permit from a Forest Ranger."

Little hiking area with a small parking area. camping is allowed in the trail area so no one notices your sleeping in your car/van or small RV. Not enough to for a big rig. Flat and level parking area right off the street, pretty quiet at night.

Report Check-In

Stayed last night. No issues and did a dog walk on the trail this morning. Some road noise, but not bad.

Report Check-In

I stayed one night and the next afternoon. lots of hikers came through. quiet uneventful night.

Report Check-In

I spent Friday night here. I pulled into the spot at around 9 PM and left at 8 AM. I was the only vehicle in the little parking lot. Aside from some road noise, the experience was enjoyable overall. The trailhead is for Ushers State Park, so you can take some nice walks through the woods.
