Description

.....
Great parking lot next to a restaurant, used as an overnight spot by truckers (usually 1 or 2 big-rigs in a big empty lot). Felt very safe, and is the best overnight spot on this long stretch of highway, especially compared to the other informal spots in the area (we tried all of them before coming here). The owners of this restaurant are SUPER friendly - they made us and our infant daughter feel like family - and will let you stay the night in the big empty lot to the right of the restaurant, no questions asked! There are other truckers doing the same thing, so you will not raise any eyebrows. Toilets inside the restaurant are super clean and cost 10 pesos if you are not dining. Also HIGHLY recommend the food - it was some of the best we had during our entire time in Mexico (the chilaquiles are bomb!), and is clearly a favorite among locals. We looked forward to coming back here on the trip back home. The restaurant is open 7am-8:30pm every day.

everything mentioned previously is accurate. I had the Chile Rellanos platter. The BEST! 180 pesos.
wifi 20 pesos for hour. Had rocket trails overhead whichever caused an excitement. Worth a potty break just to see the interior. Cows and donkeys loud at nite. trucks too. Free overnights, tips welcomed.

Good stop. Had tacos pescado and coke. No beer. No pico de gallo as they seemed to have run out of tomatos. Stayed overnight in the parking lot. Quiet but very windy.

Report Check-In

It is open. Good food, decent portions at a reasonable price. Free overnight parking in large, flat lot.

Report Check-In

Asked for permission, no problem. Good stopping point as others have reported in the past.

Large parking lot , just beside the restaurant. On the 1st of January 2024, the restaurant was closed. We met the owner and ask for parking for the night and he agree without asking anything. Good spot for the night. Close to the road 5. Big rigs park there.
The noise is OK: I removed my hearing aids😂. I felt safe on my 24 foot class C, there was a camper van too. No cell and dry camping. Passed through coco’s place and choose this place instead, no specific reason. Gut’s feeling. Owner very kind person.

Indeed great food. The portion sice is what you need riding a bycicle. The staff was super nice and even gave us a slice of pizza for free, I guess we looked desperate. We hang out there for a while, two of the byciclists camped there, while we went on to the Cactusland. The toilets where the cleanest we have seen so far.
Highly recommended.

Great food for a good price. WiFi available as well. If you’re a cyclist, you can ask to camp next to the restaurant. However, if you’re headed south, I’d recommend camping at the “cactus land” pin on iOverlander for spectacular landscape and less truck noise at night.
