When you pass by the community center from Rodeo Road, there is a gravel parking lot. There are signs that overnight parking is not allowed in public parks in Santa Fe. Therefore we asked the community center and they said it’s not a problem at all because the parking lot is not a public park.
The space is large enough for several vehicles. It is quiet and no one disturbed us. Good place to stay in Santa Fe where free overnight parking seems difficult to find.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Signs posted stating no overnight camping or parking. I didn't risk it.
Report Check-InCar parking lot behind the community centre, by the skatepark. Arrived here late afternoon, was a great spot. There are a few benches with a nice space to cook outside. There were 2 others who stayed overnight but the lot is so big we barely noticed them there. In the morning we went for a run along the cycle path which was nice and used the gym and showers in the centre ($7 for a day pass)
Report Check-InDark and quiet in the city. It’s rare to have a spot like this, allowed to park free overnight and in daytime. Pretty easy to sleep in, not much traffic. There is some construction going on next door during the week. Santa Fe is a unique place hospitable to travelers of all kinds. I am grateful for the undisturbed peace and rest, without the long drive to the isolated blm.
Report Check-InPerfect spot. We parked in the lot just before the center, in the back. Some parking spots were covered. Very quiet. One other van was parked for the night.
Report Check-InGood place to stay in Santa Fe. Relatively quiet besides some cars through the community center in the morning hours. Also a disc golf course right next to the lot. Start on hole 6
Report Check-InStayed with another couple vans. Porttapotty was GROSS. Nice spot though. Highly suggest not boon-docking in this city the law wants.
Report Check-InReally nice spot. Quiet, very few other people parked here. Port-a-potty isn’t the nicest ever but it had toilet paper. We weren’t bothered at all.
Report Check-InBig vacant gravel lot that allows overnight parking. We asked at the desk for permission.
Report Check-InEmpty lot the night I stayed. A single port-a-potty was accessible. Pretty quiet throughout the night, but there were a few cars that drove across the road early in the morning and parked in the lot
