Works as described but take care that the embassy will close at 1 pm. Over all you need 2-3 hours with the walk to tbc bank an d back

Nobody waiting at 9am - they checked our Visa status (only had to give them our passports). Then we received the payment instruction. You can pay for several visa with one transaction at the bank.

After we payed at the bank we went back with payment confirmation. Had to wait for two Iranians before us (15 min). The employee printed our Visa documents (5min).

Alltogether smooth and easy process doable in one morning. Recommend to get you Visa in Tbilisi!

You can go to the embassy by bus from old town with lines 345 & 545 - 1 Gel.

Had my Visa Grant Notice for TAP Persia. Went to the embassy, you cannot take your phone inside. They gave me a paper with the payment info, I went to the TBS Branch down the road, as marked on iOverlander. I needed to register, which was free. No need to open a bank account. I payed 75€ in cash, got a receipt. Went back to the embassy and got my visa. Simple!

Make sure that you pay the visa in the TBC Bank Konto BEVOR you collect the visa. You spend a lot of time time with the registration. We have to open a bank Konto at tbc Bank and then we pay the visa on the georgian konto of embassy of Iran. It takes 2 hours to get the konto and the registration. A little bit complicated but it works well and we recieve the visa without problems. You need to have the stampt paper from the tbc bank that you pay the visa. You can not pay the visa directly at the embassy.

Remember to cover when you go there for your VISAS.
Enter the gray door left off entrance gate. (Press the bell)
You must leave your phone with the Guard. Then you go in and give your passport.
After a while they will give you information about the bank you must go to for payment. For us it was 75 € pr Visa. You have to pay cash. Visa-card is not accepted. Bank is 1,5 km away. You return to the Embassy with the bank receipt. 1 pr person. And after a short while you will Get the visas.
Embassy opened at 9 and the bank at 10 o’clock. We had it all cleared at 11 am (3 persons)
Place to sleep for overlanders. CAMP 19 INN is 3,4 km north of the Embassy.
