Far enough away from the Interstate that it’s not too loud, but still can hear it. End of a dirt/sandy road off of the main road to Joshua Tree. Great spot close to the park. The first part of the road is semi loose sand but after that turns into hard dirt/sand making for east travel.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
First time staying at a BLM spot, and I LOVED it. You have an option to stay on the left or right side of the main road off the 10. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and enjoyed my one nighter there. Plus, you can go up about 8 miles up to Cottonwood and hike a really nice area tucked away. I’m staying here again for sure!
Report Check-InPulled in at 10:30 pm or so and saw some campsites so just pulled into one before getting to end of road. Highway is far away but can still see and hear some noises. Close to JT entrance. I had 2 bars on AT&T
