No overnight camping allowed. Beautiful view but there are 2 signs stating that there’s no overnight camping allowed. Still recommend going to see the view

Report Check-In

Visited this place to view the glacier lake and saw no camping signs (small and large) posted in several locations across the area.

Report Check-In

Pretty good area. Lots of flat places to setup. Good solar. Not the best views unless you go out on a kayak. Internet via ATT was slow but stable. Verizon was essentially unusable. :(

We were looking for a place to stay that would be close to Valdez, yet not downtown where the CGs were quite busy. We're self-contained in our 25 foot MH and don't use the facilities. We stayed for a week in early July (after 4th weekend). This site is actually a series of large, rough yet relatively level gravel parking areas with room for multiple RVs. There are no facilities, no toilets, no trash - plan to be self-contained. There's an amazing view. Note that the temps will be cooler than in town due to proximity to the glacier and the lake full of icebergs. There's good ATT cell service. It's a 12 minute drive to Valdez harbor/downtown. On the busiest night, there were 20 other RVs overnighting and it was not crowded. As noted in other reviews, you can hear the firing range and quarry trucks, yet it's quiet at night. Camping here is free. Note there is another CG with a similar name nearby. Just continue up airport road until it ends at Glacier View Park. The Tedesco station in Valdez has free dump and potable water as well as propane, gas and diesel. There's plenty of street and lot parking for RVs near the harbor.

Report Check-In

Very large flat area with great views over lake and glacier

Report Check-In

quite at day and night, you hear just the noise of the shooting range a mile down the road and just during the day.
many spots for free camping!

Report Check-In

didn't stay here as we needed to be in town, but appeared to be a good spot...

Report Check-In

nice place but very noisy in the morning, it is a quarry in the vicinity, some machines are working from 7 a.m.
