David's Place | Informal Campsite

We stayed two days at Davids place and we had a great time. Although it was very hot during the day, we were able to cool off a little in the shaded campspot. He recently did some work on the property to be able to receive guests more easily. He extended his fence so it’s big rig friendly now. There is a new bathroom with a shower and toilet. You can use the washing machine. If you’re staying more than one night, it’s free. David helped us with information about the Masaya Artesanal Market and how to get there by bus. He is very knowledgable about the area and offers guided tours as well. It’s a perfect spot to leave your truck or camper for the day and take the bus either to Managua or Masaya.

David brought us fresh coffee every morning, he said it’s included in the service. You can also order breakfast, lunch or dinner for a fee. Camping is now $10 per night. There is room for two cars/campers/trucks and there is a sheltered tent spot as well.

Estuvimos varias noches en casa de David y la estancia fue muy agradable, David y Roger se portaron muy bien con nosotros. El espacio es agradable, seguro y con buena ubicación para visitar varios puntos de interés turístico. Baño, ducha y cocina disponibles. Puedes llamar o escribir un WhatsApp a David antes de tu llegada. Muy recomendable.

We stayed several nights at David's house and the stay was very pleasant, David and Roger were very good to us. The space is pleasant, safe and with a good location to visit various points of tourist interest. Bathroom, shower and kitchen available. You can call or WhatsApp David before your arrival. Highly recommended.

Checked with David in advance that we could fit, since our van at least 3 m high. He replied that his gate is now higher and could fit up to 3,3 m high overlanders. Very nice and kind host. He went with us to Managua and did little tour for us. He also told us about festival next day in Massaya, and went with us too. Very convenient located, short ride to Managua, Masaya volcano, Masaya and Granada. If you going to stop by say hi and thanks from Konstantin and Julia

Came cycling. Paid 12 USD for both. It's a bit expensive for cyclers but David is really welcoming and you can:
- use his washing machine
- use his kitchen
- camp
- use shower
- use WC
- use WiFi

We drank the best guave juice ever (home made). He offered us a meal in the evening cause heavy rain...

We would highly recommend going to David’s place! It is such a lovely place after visiting the Vulcano. David is making another hangout place for overlanders and in the future he will make a separate bathroom. Furthermore, David is just a really lovely person, he knows when you want some alone time but he is there for a chat too.

Very friendly welcoming but only for small véhicule, we are 2.8m high and couldnt entering.

Very nice place to stay! I travel with my bike and I spent one night to David's place where I could pitch my tent. Good energy and very nice guy. Full access to bathroom and toilets. I paid 5 dollars for the night and David can cook a dinner or a breakfast if needed for low price.

David is a warm host and a very interesting character
Perfect place to visit Managua and the Masaya Volcano
May not be accessible to big rigs

Perfect place in the garden, secured. Owner speaks spanish, dutch and a little English. Wifi, shower, toilet. He can give info aboud the environment, the masaya. You can use the kitchen, electricity and the washmachine.
He also have 3 rooms.
Prices variates if you want the room it is 12 dollar. Without is 8 dollar.
If you want he can make breakfast and bring you to the vulcan mayasa.
