very nice place to stay right on a small lake. ideal before and after crossing the border. very friendly owner (even speaks German)
400M pppn (Sep 2022). Ablutions old and simple.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Easy access also possible for BigRig. You can avoid low-hanging lines and trees (we are 3.8m high). At the lake, the place is very uneven. So we stood near the house. The place is really only suitable for self-sufficient vehicles and much too expensive. But you can negotiate. Very quiet at night.
Report Check-InBeautiful location by a small lake. Much of it a little sloped, but there are a few flat spots. Pleasant frog concert in the evening. Supposedly the best camping option in the area, though that might not say much.
Bathrooms are very old and dirty, no toilet seat, no privacy, no doors or windows. Fill up a bucket outside to flush, wash or pour water on yourself (~shower?). No signs at restaurant and not very inviting. Feels more like a wild camp, and might be preferred by independent travelers with their own bathroom/shower. Also no fire pit, no dividers, shade, wind break or security (supposedly no need for it). In the morning we had to look around a bit to find the owner to pay, he does live in the house right before the "gate". Supposedly still under construction, likely on a time line where it starts falling apart faster than improvements show.
Having said all that we enjoyed the 1 night rest, but 400M pppn seem very overpriced for what you get.
