We slept at the charger and charged our car, no issues whatsoever, saw another camper there. Nice bird sounds in the morning!
Report Check-InI am sitting in the Mason Dixon rest stop right now. Spent a nice quiet night here. Interestingly, the directions were taking us right by this place to some location a mile or so away to the east. So be careful about Google maps as your way of getting here. The back lot that people talk about is being configured for EV charging. That may change some of the spots That we can Boondock at.
Report Check-Inbad experience. Appears to be a 'personal needs' meetup area. 2 SUVs, std truck and car circled around 4 times. getting out, checking me out, they definitely wanted me to leave. 4th passing 1 van pulled closer to me shining lights on side of my car before pulling out. did NOT feel safe after dusk to utilize restrooms (which had at least 1 filthy stall). left to return to Gettysburg for hotel stay.
Report Check-InThis is the perfect place to stay the night. I parked in the back where it looked like staff parking but there's no signs indicating that it's off limits. This extra parking is right next to the dog area and some picknik tables. The restrooms are clean and well lit. There's vending machines but for soda only. Although it's right next to the highway you don't really hear it. I stopped here one day and drove back 15mins to Historic Gettysburg and spent the whole day touring the battlefield. Then return for the night to the rest area. If you're stealthy you should have an issue.
Report Check-Instopped in and stayed overnight from about 8pm till 8am. Very nice rest stop. Dog area, small playground, vending machines, super clean bathrooms, and a visitors center all near the Gettysburg battlefield.
