Description

Cool tourist spot - artwork, spiral of stones going out into the 'lake'.. There might be water, might not... but the stones are there. Open parking lot - no facilities or cell reception.

Stayed one night at the end of the road turnaround (which is what the last lot is). Dead quiet. Kinda creepy but was fine. Walked out to the lake after work on Monday. Def the last 5 or so miles are rough going. If stay again.

Gave this place a shot since we were visiting Golden Spike NHS, which is a 32-minute drive away. Gravel road starts right past the Visitor Center and isn't bad until the last 3 miles. The last 3 miles had very rough washboard and potholes. Spiral Jetty is a tourist site / artist sculpture, and I wouldn't call this parking lot acceptable for camping. While there are no signs in this parking lot stating you can't overnight or camp here, there are signs posted in the previous flat parking lot mentioned previously in an earlier post. We stayed for a few photos but thought it best to move on as the parking lot was getting full.

Loved this spot. I pulled in in the evening and it was off season. No cars on the drive out or when I got there and only 1 family came around 6 and then left. A bit windy, but not bad.

Nice quiet place. But we took the spot a few hundreds meter before. It is more level. And no cars. Perfect. Great views.

What an awesome place! Beautiful views across the sands and lake. And over to the left views of the snowy mountains in the direction of Salt Lake city.

The dirt road isn't bad at first but gets progressively worse with persistent washboard. theres a 200 ish yard section of pretty wet silty mud which we plowed through using our momentum to prevent us from getting stuck in our 2wd promaster. I'm sure later in the year this won't be an issue.
We didn't see another soul for the 20 or so hours we spent out here

Camping worked, not totally sure of the legality. No ATT. Lots of washboard on the way out, take it slow.

Report Check-In

Was a very nice, very quiet. A longer Dirt road.
