We got our border permit (for all areas) at the CBT in Naryn. When we showed up to this border check-point, they told us that a stamp was missing (see photo). Make sure your border permit has it. We talked to the border guards for a while, but in the end, we had to turn around and go all the way back (~4 hours in not great roads).
Report Check-InYou can get the permit at one of the many CBT offices for about 20-30 dollars. It takes between a week and 10 days to get it.
