Description

The coordinates are those of the bus stop on the main road. Please contact Alex +260 97 9047030 (WhatsApp) to go into the village The place and the people are amazing!
We spent one week in this school as volunteers, we were the first!
Alex, the school director and founder, has a project to build a campsite, but for the moment, the little money he has goes to the children.
People of the village are very friendly. Here you can expect to live in a traditional village. No electricity, water from one tap in the centre of the village (100 m from the campsite).
You will camp near the school, Alex's house is just 10 meters from the school.
If you want, Alex can organize a visit to the village, you can go on your own to the Zambezi River (direct access from the village (about a 10 min walk), you can learn from Alex's family how to make the traditional Nshima and other dishes.
Alex and the team are developing their project. If you want to camp here, to help them, it is K100 ppn will be fine....and more as you want!

Latest Check-Ins

We stayed for 4 nights at Tusoleke campsite and even got involved helping build a new classroom. We loved that all of the money spent on camping went to help these lovely preschool kids get a foothold in life!!

Some of the friendliest and most welcoming people you could possibly hope to meet. Alex, his wife Antress and their children make you feel at home as you can feel in such a rural setting.

Whilst some may miss the luxuries of certain campsites there is something really special about staying in a place so far away from the pointless luxuries of more established campsites!

Where else can you go on a sunset river cruise in a traditional wooden boat. Not only that but for a fraction of going on one of those big polluting monstrosities. Special moments that will stay a lifetime.

So up your sleeves and experience living life properly!! We wish we could have stayed longer and most certainly will be back when back in Africa in 2025.

Thank you Alex and fam. An unforgettable experience!!

Here you can support a local school project. We stayed at the campsite for 10 USD / pppn. Very basic (they can bring you water for a "shower" and the toilette is just a hole) - a real experience. All the money from the camping goes to the school project.
Alex is a great host and told us alot about the village and the project. A short walk through the village was included. If you like to get a longer tour, or like to learn how to cook from his wife, just ask alex for the price.
It was an amazing experience and i think we will never be again that close to a traditional village with so many lovely people.

If you like to bring pencil or paper, books or nshima / porridge, the will be happy about this and can really need it.

After few months of informal camp, it’s now an official campsite with all basics (water, ablution, internet…).
Basic but very safe and authentic, located inside the traditional village with wonderful people, this camp has been created to invest in a new pre-school.
It’s possible to visit the village and the school.
Alex can also accompany you on one of the largest traditional market of Livingston.
It,s an amazing experience.
Don’t miss it!

All the money will be for the kids (food and educational materials).
