Many campers spend the night here, very close to border crossing. there are showers and the female one is burning hot! Surprisingly quiet during the night. Wifi at the gas station, toilets as well, all 10sec walking away

RISCO DE FURTO!!!
Passamos 3 noites tranquilas e sem intercorrências. Fomos para Posadas e voltamos, seria nossa quarta noite lá. Chegamos, estacionamos e descemos do carro com o cachorro para que fizesse suas necessidades, foi quando entraram na van e levaram o celular e dinheiro. Isso levou menos de 2 min. Conversamos com os funcionários do posto que nos disseram que furtos são muito comuns ali. Indigentes ficam escondidos na mata observando o movimento. Disseram que são rapidos e silenciosos, acostumados e se locomoverem na mata sem serem notados.
Fomos para o camping Ma-Ri (recomendamos!) onde também nos disseram que relatos de furto ali são muito frequentes.
RISK OF THEFT!!!
We spent 3 peaceful and uneventful nights. We went to Posadas and came back, it would be our fourth night there. We arrived, parked and got out of the car so our dog to pee, that's when they got into the van and took the cell phone and money. This took less than 2 min. We spoke with employees at the station who told us that thefts are very common there. Homeless people are hidden in the woods, watching the movement. They said they are fast and silent, used to moving around in the forest without being noticed.
We went to Ma-Ri camping (recommend it!) where they also told us that reports of theft there are very common.
great stay for the night, showers closed at 10 in the bathrooms but we used the truckers ones which were cold but this is what we wanted because of the heat!
we couldn't fill up with petrol though as we have a foreign car and all the YPFs in town would not serve us as we have a Chilean number plate.
We tried at 8am and they said we couldn't get fuel until midday. There was also massive queues and all the petrol stations were not keen to serve us.
We went to the shell and then they only served us 98 when we wanted 95. Who knows eh

Report Check-InNo pudimos usarlas porque estaban cerradas, mala atención de los playeros, poco combustible, hay que ir con paciencia, cierran la bomba para poder vender más caro a los extranjeros el fin de semana. Baños sucios, con olor, sin papel, al menos dormimos tranquilos.
We could not use the showers, the baths were nasty, dirty and smelly, no paper, at least we slept good.
It's a great option in Puerto Iguazú, it's a very big place with ample parking, we slept a very peaceful and safe night. We didn't use it, but we saw that there are bathrooms with showers.
É uma ótima opção em Puerto Iguazú, é um pinto bem grande com amplo estacionamento, dormimos uma noite bem tranquila e segura. Não usamos, mas vimos que há banheiros com duchas.

Its the parkinglot behind the gasstation. They have hot showers at the womans one. Toilets, wifi, restaurant, coffee, water potable and non potable, there is grass so you can sit nice outside. And a lotttt of other campers. Everyone is really relaxed and doing there own thing.
Its very quite, we sleep with the door open tonight (with musquito net) 😜

Report Check-InWe stayed 3 quiet nights, s lot of other campers, mostly argentine. All campers stayed at the two upper streets (but not on the top left street, since this is said to be dangerous because of vehicle break-ins).

Report Check-InPasamos varias noches aquí, al fondo de la estación Ypf, es un amplio estacionamiento principalmente para camiones, pero muchos campers paran aquí. Hay sombra y calles donde encontrar buen nivel para estacionar y dormir. Es tranquilo durante la noche. La estación tiene los servicios básicos en buenas condiciones.
Pedimos delivery de comida china en Nigth Wok Iguazú, y nos lo llevaron hasta allí, muy rico y con sabrosas opciones vegetarianas!! Recomendable!
huge parking lot, not accessible from the gas station directly, you have to drive down the road a bit further. The pavement is very bumpy (earth track, not paved); not easy to find a level space. But several other overlanders here, quiet. Access to toilets all night, on the gas station side as well as on the restaurant side, clean but no paper. Showers - at the gas station toilets is 1 shower at the ladies room, cold water only, but clean, and two more showers the next door of the building. Had a quiet night, but it’s off season.
Report Check-InWe did not have any problems during 3 nights. Everything was as in the description. But, the last one, we were just started to sleep when 6 old vans (imatriculated from Paraguay) come all around our van. We quickly gate out and asking what was the problem. All the drivers were out, looking us and spinking between themself with talkie walkie... We just arrived to go back between two of their van and we want in front of the restaurant of the gas station under the light. We saw that the station was full of these old cars.... and few man were post on the parking and came again looking our van. So we move to another place for the night....

Report Check-InSpoiler alert: If you got a vehicle with non-Argentinian plates:
-they will charge you almost twice the displayed price per liter of gas
-there‘s a seperate fuel station with an incredibly long queue of foreign cars for most of the day
-you cannot take gas in the evening before 23:00
Besides that, the place behind the YPF is really nice to stay with a camper van, some spots have shadow and a bit of rain protection by the trees. Showers were opened from ~9:00 to 22:00.
Its not allowed to pinch tents or setup anything camping-related tho, one YPF guy even told us to remove our cover sheet that we had tied from our door to a tree.

Report Check-InAmplo pátio de caminhões cheio de sombra de árvores. Muito tranquilo durante a noite, silencioso e seguro. Outros motorhomes tb pararam junto com a gente. No posto há um café (Rede Full) com Internet grátis, mas soh pega na frente, no pátio de caminhos não. tem banheiros e chuveiros, mas não usamos. A água quente eh paga.

Ample place to camp, I went for a roof tent and I didn't have any problems.
Only warned by truckers with robberies during the night, to be vigilant and close the vehicles.
The showers were with cold water...
Estación de servicios YPF excelente. Combustibles, sanitarios, duchas con agua caliente libre y gratuita, agua caliente para mate, full con muy buenos combos y surtido, playa de estacionamiento muy amplia. muchas gracias

Report Check-InLugar tranquilo. Tiene duchas pero la del baño femenino está cerrada con llave. Pasé tres noches frias y con lluvia en agosto 2022. La primera solucité ducha y la abrieron. Me dijeron que esperara pirque el agua demoraba en calentar. Aguardé pero cuando fui a ducharme estaba helada. Segunda noche, habia otros empleados. Cuando pregunté me dijeron que la persona que tenia la llave se habia ido. Tercera noche, hacia tanto frio y llovia tanto que preferí calentar agua con una cacetola dentro de la kombi a exponerme a esa ducha helada. Conclusión: es una odisea bañarse en ese lugar ya q siempre hay un pero con el tema de la llave y no es caliente

Report Check-InBehind the gas station, there's probably a huge line with cars wanting to fill up, just pass them on the left hand side, and drive towards the back left from the gas station.
Very cool parking, lots of overlanders, if you're lucky the showers are unlocked.

Report Check-Indetrás de la YPF está el parking de camiones de la aduana, mucho camión y mucho tránsito por la mañana pero se duerme tranquilo. además con todos los servicios de la YPF (baño, wifi, agua). un día también dormimos del lado de la YPF, había muchas Camper.
Report Check-InWe camped here for 3 days. The large truck parking area behind the gas station was busy but quiet all night. Gas station gets a little hectic when they have gas(due to gas shortage) but even then it’s quiet. Showers are broken. Bathrooms available but not very clean. There’s a cafe on sight.

Report Check-InA lot of space for truckers to park passing through border. So you may be woken up by Diesel engines starting. But, it’s like a forest, so a lot of bug noise too...pleasant. Re-opening this spot as worker said no problem camping here.
Report Check-InYou can catch WiFi in Full restaurant. Just ask personel for password. Water from the tap is drinkable. I asked two workers of this station. We spent there also one night and it was very quiet. Not sure why this place is marked as closed. Around a lot of truck drivers but no other Overlanders. Free hot shower available. :)
Report Check-InAwesome and quiet spot, unfortunately the owner said he really doesn’t want campers anymore as there have been a lot of robberies and it’s not safe. He allowed us to spend the night as it was super late, but said we shouldn’t stay here the rest of our time.
Report Check-InVery good place for camping. There is a little forest next to the gas station, where you can make your tent or park your camper! Very quiet at night. An excelent option after passing the border or before!
Report Check-InWe asked one of the guys working there if we could spend the night- showing him a picture of our rooftop tent. He said no, and that it was a parking lot and not for camping. It was 11pm, and with so many good reviews on here we decided to have a quick look around anyway and managed to find a very quiet and dark spot towards the back of the lot. Spent a surprisingly quiet night there- no issues at all.

We asked the lady working here and she said that we couldn’t stay the night and that campers aren’t allowed...kind of confused as everyone has had such good reviews of the place so far.
Update: asked another worker outside and he said no problem. I think that girl was just not that nice ?? The parking lot behind ypf is very big with many options to park in

Report Check-InSpent two nights here before and after our visit to Iguazu. It is very quiet around the back and plenty of spots to choose from between the truckers and trees. Hot showers are great, the womens is in the toilet block at the YPF (only one) and the mens is around the back (about 5). They are free as far as we know. Food in the Full is not bad we tried some burgers and they have a salad bar to load your burger with veggies.

As described. Free, hoy showers. Lots of space in wooded lanes. Just trucks when I was there. Full does fast food but didn't try any. Nice clean place though and good, hot coffee.
Report Check-InWe did see two Arg campers but mainly a whole lot of trucks. We chose the furthest upper lane which was empty for 2 nights in a row and had very quiet nights. Felt safe too. Good shower for free. Fast wifi if its working at the Full
Report Check-InA lot of space, we met 4 other campers. Showers are at the YPF and additional toilets at the Full. Men showers at the back, showers for female are in the bathroom for women.

Nous avons fait tous les camping de Puerto Iguazu car nous étions un peu septiques de venir ici mais belle surprise car malgré le nombre important de camions les 2 nuits passées ont été très calmes et en plus il y a le Wi-Fi et c'est gratuit. Top endroit. Les campings sont beaucoup trop chers tout autour.

Report Check-InGreat spot to camp with RV. Showers were free and wifi was fairly strong inside the cafe. Really nice staff as well. This may sound obvious, but watch out for giant biting ants. I stepped out onto the curb quick at night to get into the front seat and one sliced me right though the tip of my toe...I believe they're giant red ants.
Report Check-InThere is really no need to pay for a camping or go through the trouble of finding a good wild camp in the area.The parking of this gas station is almost like a forest with a road winding through it where you park. So, you're in the green, full of birds, and no noise. Options enough to choose a spot away from the trucks.
Report Check-InThe wifi password had changed when we were there (iguazzu058). surprisingly quiet and a lot of campers there (tents, trucks, big rigs, small cars like ours) but still with ample space. The shower was hot (and free) but it's best to use them when nobody else is using them so that you get enough hot water (there are multiple stalls). Some guy knocked on our window one morning and asked us to pay him for camping there. after a couple minutes of pestering, we finally said we'll re-confirm with the YPF attendants. That's when he decided to leave us alone and went about bothering other campers. If you get bothered by this guy, don't pay him as camping here is free. oh, and one other thing: really huge bats in the trees at night. Ew.
