NDDOT supported rest area facility near Washburn ND off Hwy 83. NDDOT permits sleeping in vehicles overnight at their rest areas (Not Camping !!!). This facility also host the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. Facility appears new and is very clean and well maintained. Washrooms are open 24 hrs and free Wifi is also provided. Lots of parking spaces available in front of building for passenger autos and smaller RVs (class B or C) that can fit in regular parking spaces. There is an adjacent parking lot on side that supports parking for semi trucks and other larger RV vehicles (class A, trailers, 5th wheelers). Appears to be a very safe facility as we observed a local sheriff car patrolled the parking lots.
