Description

*Closed for winter.
.....
Beautiful place. Our site had no cell service or TV reception. It can rain here but there's lots of great hiking opportunities in the area. We had a fire pit, table, and a place to set up a tent. It was an oddly shaped site but it worked for us because our trailer is small.
No cell service

Beautiful and popular campground. The views are to die for. The sites are reservable between certain dates. When we were there it was all first come first serve. There is water but none of the spigots are threaded. No dump station. There is a creek that runs through the campground. The pit toilets are very clean. We had zero cell service (T-Mobile). If you come here do yourself a favor and hike Thomas Canyon to the glacial cirque. It is a stunning hike that is a feast for the eyes. Also, drive to the parking area at the top of Lamoille Canyon and hike to the alpine lakes. These 2 hikes will take your breath away, both figuratively and literally. You won’t soon forget either. Both are approximately 4 miles round trip. If you want to know more about the hikes check out our Instagram account. We will be posting pics and video of both hikes

Beautiful campground but clearly popular. Sites are reservable but there were some FCFS sites so we drove up to check We came late in the evening and had to drive around in the dim light to find one that was not reserved. Paved pads , some harder to maneuver into than others. We stayed in site 30 , very level parking , cement pad with pic nic table fire pit and bar b q also there is a tent pad. Could not see our neighbors. Pit toilets are clean and there seems to be lots of them. Water is off at the moment waiting for test results but would normally be potable. Lovely sounds of the river
