RN14, near the border between CORRIENTES and ENTRE RÍOS, there was a CONTROL CAMINERO. A person wearing an ORANGE uniform and vest signaled for our car to stop. After the car stopped, this person asked for the car to be moved close to the shoulder so that he could check the documentation. After parking the car next to the shoulder, a second person wearing a YELLOW vest, asked where we were coming from, asked for our driver's license and informed us that we should be carrying a fire extinguisher, two triangles, two vests, a first aid kit and a piece of metal to tow others cars. If any of the items described were missing, it should be purchased as soon as possible. We informed that we had all the items, with the exception of two vests. He asked about the fire extinguisher and asked the driver to get out of the car. When he got out of the car, he indicated that the fine for not carrying the vests was 37000 ARS, but that if we could give him a contribution of 300 BRL and commit to buy the vests at the first opportunity he would not apply the fine. We said that we were not carrying that much money because we are using credit card and that we only had about 2000 ARS for the payment of tolls. After the first refusal, he again asked about a contribution, this time for 200 BRL. Again we informed that we did not have this amount in cash and he asked about payment in another currency and indicated that he would accept 40 USD. Once again we informed that we did not carry that amount of money. Finally he indicated that we should buy the vests as soon as possible and returned the driver's license and we were free to go.

Report Check-In
