Got the knock by the police at 10:30 PM and said no overnight parking. They said we can stay the night, but don’t park here again. There were about 5 cars here. They said it’s posted as you enter. Walked in the morning and didn’t see such a sign.

Very awesome spot . Very safe nothing sketchy. We were here with about 6 others . Downside we were woken at 11pm by a cop saying the whole park closed at 11pm and there getting more and more complaints from locals about this place. He let us stay the rest of the night but politely said this isn’t a camp spot, don’t come back . Take that as you will . But maybe be ready for a knock

Spent one night here on a beautiful evening. Nice view of the bay and harbour. Very quiet night with no issues at all. 8 other rigs and small setups there as well with plenty of room. Great spot and easy walking distance to downtown core of Portsmouth.

This is an incredible location! Got nervous at first when seeing the first parking lot full. Kept driving all the way down and camped out on a gravel lot right on the water. Surrounded by two other camper vans and a large RV. Great spot.

Report Check-In

Great spot on the Atlantic Shore. I was there 7/6/23. No signs against camping. It appears the city tolerates it here, but I wouldn't pop a tent or pull out slides. There were 8 vans and a trailer. Cool walking trails, no bike riding on them.

Report Check-In

Arrived late afternoon, parking lot was about half full, no trouble setting up shop in our Promaster 3500 ext. Great spot to walk around with the pup (though some areas are strictly no dogs allowed) with some trails along the river. No troubles with any locals, in fact more than a dozen other cars were parked overnight. Could hear some noise from across the water at the shipyard but our maxxair fans drowned out much of it. lucky for us there were a number of community events happening on Saturday that we also got to experience. overall great spot for a night or two.

It is a very clean, quiet place though so please be sure to take care not to ruin this spot for van lifers. The New England area is tough enough for free overnighting.

Report Check-In

We stopped in to check this place out and were harassed by a man riding a bike. Told us the park closed at 7 (no sign to that effect). Since it was quite crowded at 5 pm, we moved to a lot nearby. The same man started taking pictures of our van and said he was calling the police. Needless to say we did not stay there.

Great spot. Really quite. We were the only van in the lot. Spent 1 night, zero issues. 2 porta potty’s that a cleaned regularly. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

We spend 2 nights there, the gravel parking at the end on right side is definitely more quiet.

There are toilets on the “Four tree island”

Report Check-In

Super endroit pour passer une nuit, il y a 3 stationnements, celui au fond en gravier est plus isolé, il n'y a pas de pancarte d'interdiction de passer la nuit. Très près du centre ville à pieds. Personne n'est venu nous déranger.

Parking lot was a great spot with a front row view of the harbor! A little busy in the morning with people walking their dogs and such but it was very nice and had no problems.
