no camping in first half a mile. camping is allowd beond. great place, no neighbors. no service. close to canyonlands. road up to this place is rutted but doable in dry weather, even with 2wd van and trailer. do not go any further unless 4wd and high clearance.

Stayed here a night between hiking in Dead Horse Point and Canyonlands. Road was extremely rutted, uneven, and dusty, but nowhere to turn around so I pushed through in my 2WD mid clearance promaster to this spot. Was really Un level spot but fine for one night and thankfully no issues getting out!
Report Check-InIra so windy it’s scary. I have a heavy wide body Pleasurway van and it’s rocking like a boat. Do not recommend. I can’t sleep and worry about my solar and tires as I lie here. It’s 2 am…
Report Check-InLovely wild and quite location close to CN visitor centre. Some fire rings available and trees that might offer shade. Be aware of potential strong winds.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. The road was fine, maybe even doable with 2WD — but it _has_ been hot and dry for days.
Report Check-InNice and quiet place in midst of grass and a view rocks.
It was very windy when we arrived, but it calmed down towards the evening.
Our Chevrolet Equinox could handle the dry road well.
We had no reception with t-mobile.
First spot after the 0.5 mile no camping limit. Space for 3-4, not suitable for large rigs. Road is a little tricky and sandy. Definitely a no for 2WD when wet/snow. We managed in a Ram Promaster 2WD, but definitely wouldn't go beyond that spot. Nice views for sunset. Enjoy!
Report Check-InReally bumpy road. Everything was good until two cars pulled up within a couple feet of us in the middle of the night.
Report Check-InDecent stay for a night. No Verizon signal. Pack it in and pack it out people. Found human waste and TP by the 1 and only tree nearby. No wonder Moab has closed so many of the other camping areas.
