Report Check-In

We left at 10:30 a.m. from Agordeke for a 2 hour crossing. We had been there since 8:15 a.m. but you can come quietly at 9 a.m. because there aren't many people waiting. We got on the boat around 9:45. We paid 70 Cedis for 2 people and 2 motorbikes. Possibility to buy simple food, sold by the inhabitants of the village. The boarding platform is not at the end of the road as indicated but 50 meters before, taking a small street on the right. It's at the end of this street.

We (Hilux and camper cell) and our friends with a LT40 paid 168 Cedis each. We tried to negociate down but no way, they said we were too heavy, so we needed to pay more. Well, its kind of true. We didnt have the feeling that they ripped us off but there is no price list of any sort, so...
Staff is friendly and kind of professional but organised, I m not sure of that. We left at 11:00 am. One crossing every day. Be there early so you are sure to have room for your rig, it can get pretty full.
We do not recomand to sleep at the docks. It was REALLY hot at night, a lot more than anywhere else in West Africa, humid, and a LOT of bugs. Plus the fact that a lot of people will come to talk to you, some really friendly, other ones asking for gifts or money... No privacy at all.
