Cottonwood campground in Joshua Tree National Park is a little cooler at 3000 feet than the desert floor. Park entrance fee is $30 in addition to camping fee. Reservations must be made through Recreation.Gov and reservations are required though can be made same day. These can be made the same day. This campground has flush toilets and potable water in spigots. There is also a trailer dump. This campground is approximately 8 miles north of the I 10 freeway. $25 a night.

Report Check-InCampsites we’re pretty close quarters and tons of people. Kind of loud but the location was nice. Some little walking trails around.

Report Check-InNear Joshua Tree NP. Have to book on Recreation.gov, a little pricey at $25/night, no Wi-Fi. Found out later there’s beautiful BLM land nearby on I10.
Report Check-InThe dump station and fresh water spigot is actually outside the campground on the way to a trail head. Dump and water is free !
