Picnic Area off HWY 16. Center turn lane gives access from both directions.
No facilities, just picnic tables and trash cans. Shade trees and grassy area good for pets. No signs about camping, but safe to assume it's limited to a 24hr period like any other rest area in the state. Right off the highway so plenty of road noise, but not nearly as busy as most highway areas.

Nice and quiet as described, about 5 minutes from "downtown" Bandera. In the middle of the night a car goes by every few minutes and you're not far off the road, but I'd still consider it pretty quiet for roadside parking. There are no restrooms, not even a porta potty. Nobody bothered us but it's not like one of the bigger rest areas for trucks, either. Definitely a picnic area rather than a rest area.
Report Check-InPicnic area along the highway. Not to much traffic during the night.
Good for any RV size.
