Excellent point, don't miss the entrance 200 meters before the GPS point, a large gate with the name "Palms of Bagdad". Well-stocked supermarket, Restaurant with a beautiful menu card that keeps its promises. The negative point: a little noisy located near urban highways.
Excellent point , ne ratez pas l'entrée 200 mètres avant le point GPS, un grand portail avec le nom "Palms of Bagdad". Supermarché bien achalandé, Restaurant avec une belle carte de menus qui tient ses promesses. Le point negatif: un peu bruyant placé près d'autoroutes urbaines.

spent 2 nights here. took taxi to national museum. was 1500 ID in morning rush hour ,took about 45minutes, nice and clean, good little cafe and toilet in supermarket.

We stayed here for 4 nights with 2 Troopies. We didn't have a quiet experience: 3 out of 4 nights there was a wedding in the banquet hall with loud Music and parking full of cars. Also lots of visitors to Palms of Baghdad for Christmas/NY. The mornings on the other hand were quiet, allowed us to prepare breakfast and have a slow morning before heading into the city. Large supermarket with an extensive offer of sauces, non alcoholic drinks etc. Toilets in the little building next to the banquet hall, in the supermarket (open till midnight) and in Palms of Baghdad. Cleanliness varies according to time of the day / business. All in all, good place for city camping but not for light sleepers.

We are spending our fourth night here tonight. Every night was quiet. No music, no events, no stench. Yes, there's a lot of traffic on the road and the air in the parking lot isn't the best - but hey, it's Baghdad and it’s safe. We tried to tip the guys from the parking lot crew today - no chance. If you need a guide for Baghdad: we had the best experience with Ihab. His English isn't the best, but he knows what makes us Europeans happy. He lived in Sweden for a few years. He charges us 100 dollars for a (long) day. He picked us up by car and drove us back in the evening: +964 771 337 0070 WhatsApp. If he invites you to his home, definitely accept. His wife speaks excellent English and we had some interesting talks. Nice kids also. Enjoy Bagdad.

Thank you so much, dear Overlanders. After a 10-hour drive from Kurdistan, this is an absolute oasis for us. The restaurant is expensive by local standards, but extremely tasty (try the salmon). Supermarket on site and several food trucks. Quit on a thursday evening (beside the traffic of course).

it is a good parking place to get to the old streets of baghdad. the staff is very friendly and the car is guarded. we took a taxi to the old town. there are souvenirs and magnets. in the zoka restaurant the price is ok. for 3 pizza and fries&water 30$. the birds in the cramped cages are terrible!
do not park directly at the park!!!! at 3:00 a.m. everything was sprayed with poison mist to destroy the insects. disgusting and it smells disgusting all night. it is very loud from the street! the car cinema is closed

this spot is very nice when you will visit Bagdad. the Place is safety and security check the place. the security is very friendly. we drive by Taxi to the old streets in town an we pay 10.000 Dinar. also a other Family Yesterday. a local tell us the price is ok. the old streets are very interesting and you can buy everything. souvenirs and old things. we eat at the restaurant Zoka in the Park and the price was ok, for 3 Pizza and french fries &water 30$.
only the birds in the small cage is not ok!

*in the Night it is very loud from the street and a lot of locals go in the Park aaannnd!!!! don't park in the front of the park!!!! in the night 3:00am!!! they make all at the park with poison fog for killing the Moskitos!!! it was terrible and smell like oldeggs!!!!

Indeed a nice place with very friendly stuff and security.
Unfortunately it smells after faeces 24hrs. WiFi (given by the guard) is fairly OK.

Should you be in the desperate situation of extreme thirst, noticeable by your tongue sticking to the roof of your mouth, and you travel coming from the south… There is help in sight!!!

In maybe 10 mins walking distance there is a LIQUOR STORE with everything you’re starving for! The owners, really nice guys, even speak a little german.

Still a good place to stay in Bagdad. Mohammed, Jafar and all security guys are friendly. They offered us some water, wifi password and food. We spent 3 nights here. Toilets are dirty. If you want to take a taxi to go to center, ask them before to know the price! Example : we paid 4000 dinars from New Bagdad to come back to Palms of Bagdad.

The park is nice, big kids mall if you like... Beautiful but expansive restaurant!

Good place! I left a big pot of Nutella in the smallest palmtree Close to the road in about 50cm above pavement. IT IS in a black bag. My Friends did not show up, sell please enjoy!

If taking a minibus/shared taxi from the center/Irak museum then catch one that goes to "Mahmoudiyeh". It will pass by here and only costs 1000 IQD.

Thank you very much for the address of this parking lot! Mohamed is very nice, we can stay in the parking lot for a week without any problem. There are guards at the entrance and security cameras. It is not a public parking lot so there are no cars. The environment is noisy but we slept very well🤗

“Palms of Baghdad”will be a event park in the future.
They let you park at the secure parking lot. Bit noise from the traffic. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Car cinema, Coffee, some fast-food and toilet’s at the spot.
Ask Mohamed for permission +964 773 380 0004 he speaks very well English.
