Description

Kind of a mix between wild camping and informal campsite. We slept here after the night tour to Masaya volcano. The restaurant staff allowed us to sleep at the parking lot in front of the official restaurant parking lot and use the toilets of the restaurant which stay open during the night. So you sleep on the public parking lot quite near to the street but the restaurant night guard has an eye on you as long as he is there (until 12 pm) and there is a security camera facing towards you. We could also use the showers at the pool in the morning. Pool use would cost 60 cordobas per person. We stayed for free but found it polite to have a drink at the restaurant which is reasonably priced and nice because it has a beautiful mirador over the Masaya lagoon. Good local breakfast for 6 USD.

Not a good place to spend the night. Extremely noisy (trucks driving, honking, dogs), mosquitoes, smells bad, and it's basically just a gated alleyway. It's right beside a speed bump on a downhill on a highway so big trucks brake and accelerate right beside where you sleep all night. The restaurant is expensive as previously stated. We paid for dinner and the owner told us we can camp for free but then once we were inside the gate and parked she asked for a tip. Would not recommend.

Pros: safe, nice bathrooms open all night, outdoor shower.

a friendly welcome. food and drinks are quite expensive. Breakfast is $6 usd each. we went for the 6 mini sliders with fries and 6 sodas for $15.40 including tax and 'voluntary' tip which is already added to the bill. Everything is priced in USD. the view is amazing. parking behind a gate. the pool looked disgusting and costs 60C pp. On Sunday they closed at 8.30 and then about 9.30 when the staff left I gave the guard some snacks and he let me use the pool shower. toilets open all night

Stayed here for 2 nights while waiting for a friend to get into the Managua. Very nice, we were allowed to camp for free - Just ask for the owner. Free access to the pool and wifi as well as a beautiful view over the lake. We bought a couple beers and a breakfast. The restaraunt was too expensive, but the pool and free camping made up for it.

Great overnight spot after the night view of Masaya Volcano. Free to spend the night on the parking lot so we had a big dinner there. Pretty pricey US$. Staff is very nice. We parked inside the closed gates. Toilets open all night. Just 5 minutes drive from Masaya entrance park.

For overlanders, we wouldnt say that its reasonably priced (especially when everything is in dollars). For travellers coming from the US, maybe.. They have always a promotion 2for1 but in general it is a touristic expensive restaurant with dishes well over 10 USD. The night guard required a tip as well. Tip must always be at your kind discretion, not be asked or required! Convenient stay after the night tour in Masaya. Not very quiet!

Pool is currently currently closed for repairs. The restaurant manager and staff are very nice. The Americano Breakfast for $3 is huge. The parking is next to a busy highway with topes and bus pickups at the entrance. Lots of honking, air brakes, and acceleration noise all day and night.

What a beautiful spot for a restaurant. No charge to camp and we got power from an outlet under the palapa in front of us. The drinks and food reasonably priced as mentioned earlier. We did pay the 50c to use pool as it was hot out. We got here mid afternoon and then drove to volcano to see at night and returned. we did tip the security guard. Was pretty quite after 8 but us noisy in the morning.

We had lunch here before the Masaya night tour and enjoyed! A bit pricey but they have 2x1 specials most days of the week. Beautiful views!! We ordered the whole fish meal and it was great! After Masaya we came back to see about staying the night. The security guard said of course! And after talking to the friendly boss we were parked in the lot just outside of their main parking. This restaurant is on a main road and is loud. For some reason the semis were honking their horns most of the night. Restrooms are open all night, wifi at restaurant, pool 50C pp. bring ear plugs!

Le patron et son équipe sont très sympas, la vue est magnifique sur le lac et le volcan. La nuit on peut voir le rougeoiement! Restaurant cher (15$ par plat) mais bon. Assez Bruyant a partir de 7h.
