Description

**Note: Folks without horses: wait until after 6 pm to occupy a site, leave by 10 am, and only stay 1 night.

Seems like a little-known campsite at the Mt. Muller trailhead. It is technically a horse camp for the horse trail that is here but there are a handful of established sites with fire rings. It does cost $10 per night and fills up fast Friday afternoon for the weekend. I did see that dogs were at people's campsites and I can only assume you should have all pets leashed around horses to not create a situation.

Latest Check-Ins

Nice Campground, we were alone, arrived at 7.30 pm after the ferry. The toilet smells not very inviting (didn’t even open the door). Might be busy on summer weekends with horse people.

Report Check-In

Great place even if you don’t have horses. Very peaceful although you can hear the Hwy barely. Tall rigs will have to deal with some branches and the final part of the road is kind of steep.
The 5 sights are very big, deep and level.
The trailhead below is also doable if the horse site are filled up.

Still just $10/night, or discounted to $5 with Golden Age/Access or Interagency
Senior/Access Pass. Cash or check. Great night’s sleep in wooded setting. Woken up around 8:15 am Saturday morning by volunteers ready to do work around the campground. New posted rules about folks without horses waiting until 6 pm to take a site, leave by 10 am, and stay only 1 night. We arrived at 8:45 pm Friday night and there were sites available but maybe that was luck early in the season? Posting a pic of the sign so you can see.
