Description

Parking lot outside the park in front of the lake. You can see the lake from here and the walking distance to it is just 2 minutes. The bay is really beautiful, boardwalk recently remodeled.

Full 4G Telcel signal.

Bathrooms, places to play sports and restaurants.

We spotted hundreds of thousands of birds on their way south. It was simply magical as so the breathtaking view form the boardwalk in the bay.

Some music at night in the weekend.

Good and beautiful place. Very clean and the people are very friendly. A little busy in the evening but super quiet at night. We felt very comfortable and safe.

The 20p parking lot still has a sign but the gate was locked and no attendants. We parked in the sidewalk parking spots by the sports field which was a little awkward with people coming and going but it got quiet after dark and the police cruised by without bothering us. Most the streets to the lakefront are very narrow but the western-most street (Libertad) would allow a vehicle of any size down here!

Nice place to sleep. Had a quiet night.
Flat parking lot
Could be very noisy on the week end because of all the bars around

Wasnt originaly planning on making a stop in Jamay, but got a flat tire earlier that day so wouldnt make it where we headed to, found this spot on ioverlander and decided to spend the night here.
Definitely worth the stop! It is lovely little village with small square full of live, many kids playing and running arround, everyone super friendly.
We decided to park at the parking lot with opened gate and sign 20mxn for parking. Asked the Baño ladies where to pay and if ok to spend night. They said you only pay on Saturdays and Sundays, so free for us on Friday, the area is safe and we colud stay for night. They told the man guarding the area about us. Had a police visit checking on us at night, pretty much just making sure everything is fine.
The lake side is very nice, beautifull sunset. There are many bars open late on Friday, not very busy, music went on till 1pm. We had a beer there, asked for wifi pw and later had it reaching our car as we parked by the wall with all the bars.
Overall nice experience, felt very safe.

We paid 20 pesos to park in the big parking lot on a Sunday night. There is a festival going on, loud musique, inflatables for kids, food stands.
We felt very safe though!
