Description

Flat parking lot. No view, but good for a night. Denny’s parking lot. Had dinner last night and parked my minivan with U-Haul trailer in a pull-through parking space long enough for an RV and having breakfast now. Asked the waitress if staying overnight would be a problem or if we’d be bothered and she said, “not at all; people do it all the time.” There’s also a kfc and dollar store and some shops. Not the best area, but not the worst either. I’d like to emphasize how FLAT this lot is. No view, but great resting pit stop nonetheless with two gas stations, a few eateries to choose from, and super flat lot with tons of parking spaces. Some early noise from landscapers and semi trucks. Slept well though until about 6am. There are multiple water stations - an Agua Pura windmill and a glacier water machine for clean, potable water for purchase, and a bathroom inside Denny’s (please purchase something to use it out of courtesy). For Starbucks fans, there’s one across the street. Enjoy!

They do allow overnight parking but honestly, wasn't worth it. Too many addicts. I constantly had people screaming and talking to themselves waking me up. Fights broke out both nights I was there. It just doesnt feel safe there.

im sure it was great before but i wouldn't recommend now

Report Check-In

Fairly quiet night here, some traffic noise but compared to sleeping on the side of the road like most of the spots around here it was great. Free wifi from Denny's. A couple homeless people were wandering around and even knocked on our door at different times, we ignored and they wandered off with no fuss. We are an RV so I think regular vans will have no problems.

Report Check-In

Checked in for one night and there are a couple of other vans/cars there. The road next to it is quite loud. But I am a super sound sleeper, so it didn't bother me. Lights sleepers may not be able to sleep well. No one bothered me.

Thanks to iOverlander we found this gem. Dennys open 24 hrs. Laundry. 99 cent store. Lots of stores and food places. So happy we are here. Walmart up the road kicked us out and I’m glad lol
We spent the day at Santa Monica, the pier was littered with carneys. We felt uncomfortable. Shame. It has such a famous name but ekkk what happened to it?
