Signs now posted prohibiting overnight parking 5:00am-12:00pm

Report Check-In

Quiet parking lot next to small lake. Monday night, no signs prohibiting overnight stay.

Report Check-In

I went to check out this location and there's a sign that says 'no camping / overnight parking' when you first pull in. There were other cars in the lot but I wouldn't chance it.

Really nice place close to Pecos River. You can connect to free WiFi of Carlsbad Waterpark. Restrooms are open.

Report Check-In

I had to post up in Carlsbad a few extra nights waiting for the winds to die down before heading to the mountains. The first night was at Walmart - the remaining three nights were here in my van. This place is much quieter. There is a “no overnight camping” sign but I chanced it and didn’t have any issues at night. I did leave in the am and returned at sunset while tooling around town. Don’t park in the conference center parking lot. Park in the gravel lot (pit toilets across the street). There should be a good dozen cars or so spread out in the area you can blend in with. It appears people leave their vehicles there for the night/day and take a shuttle service to their job site. Not sure if I’d chance it with an RV.

I didn’t have a quiet night. It may have been because it was a Friday night. There were people coming and going all night, several loud cars racing down the road next to the gravel parking lot, and there were a group of teens drifting a truck through the parking lot between the parked cars. It may be quiet on a week night, but the Friday night I was there was definitely not quiet.

We had a quiet night by a beautiful lake. no one bothered us and it wasn't noisy either. we had WiFi from the water park. the restrooms were closed.

Slept here last night, very quiet and nice, a couple of other cars parked in the lot as well.

This was a great place to stay. Plenty of green space and large parking lot. I heard the trains early in the AM. Full T-Mobile bars!

Perfect spot to park for the night. Very quiet. Nice boardwalk by the lake and playground

Report Check-In

We slept here on a Saturday night with no issues. There was an event going on at the conference center that filled the parking lot around us, but we just blended in and slept very well. The bathrooms were locked. Lovely place to stay for a night.

Report Check-In

Slept here last night without issue. Very big parking lot, a few scattered cars when I rolled in at 2 AM, and a few dozen cars in the morning next to the conference center. Sitting now on a bench facing the river along the “river walkway“. There’s a bathroom next to the conference center. Didn’t see any signs saying “no overnight”, and I slept undisturbed. Quiet too.
