NYSDEC Daniels Road state forest. Primitive camping is just one permitted use. Also a very popular mountain bike trail network, maintained by SMBA, pursuant to a stewardship agreement with NYSDEC.

Nice trail head way off the road. Need to pay close attention to get to the correct road, there's a small sign at the beginning of the road. this is a mountain bike trail, so folks are coming and going all day. portable potty available.

Report Check-InFound the location without any problems. It’s about 10 minutes outside of downtown Saratoga. Take the gravel road. It is a about 2 miles long. We have a 24 foot class CM were able to make it down without any problems just go slow. There is one bar of AT&T 5G.
Report Check-InCool, lowkey private spot in a gravel lot. Like others said, it’s a gravel road a little past where the gps takes you. Easy to miss. Clean porta-potty. Full Verizon service. Few minutes from town. There was only one other person that stayed the night in a tent (bold), i think this place is more of a vehicle camping situation, but it didn’t seem like they had any problems! We had a good nights sleep here.

Spent one night, very quiet, clean porta potty, no other overnighters, but mountain bikers arrived at around 6am but I didn't hear them arrive.
Report Check-Inhard to find at night...coming from Rt 9 look for the driveway for 129 Daniels Road. Gravel road that looks like a shared driveway.

Primitive camping is regulated here, and camping is prohibited in or near the parking lot area.
This is a mountain bike trail head parking lot that is quiet and away from road noise. It does have a portable toilet (clean and serviced). We had 1 bar of 5G with AT&T. There were a couple of bikers there that we chatted with. They said we were good to stay. I will add that no promises of how long overnight parking will be allowed as a small fire was discovered in the woods while we were there. They have recently added the No Fires sign. Be respectful and leave no trace!
Report Check-InRock parking lot, large enough for several people. Hard to find; look for sign off main road to Douglas Road State Park. Two other vehicles here tonight. Porta-potty in parking lot. Nice spot, quiet, seems totally legit.

Nice little spot just outside 10min outside of Saratoga springs downtown… Road entrance is well marked as State property. Lots of private residence on either side of the entrance road. Volunteers maintain this area. Enjoy!
Report Check-InGoogle will tell you there's no driveway, but there is! There are 2 driveways the correct one is the gravel road.
