Description
Parking area at overlooking Fontana Dam has free hot showers in the bath house. Part of the Appalachian Trail, there is an AT camping shelter not far down a path, as well as tables for food and designated areas to camp. Just park and go down the path to the right to get to the bath house.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

Report Check-InGreat free hot shower!! As described in original message. Walk towards the picnic tables and down the steps - can’t miss it!
Report Check-InI parked overnight here for two nights and was not bothered. The parking lot has about 25 spots but not good for big rigs. Cars and vans only. The picnic and bathroom area has signs for “day use only” but no signs for “no overnight parking”. The bathroom/shower is about a minute walk down some steps and is split for gender and has one shower stall each. Free.
