Nice spacious and secluded forest clearing. It’s not high up (well, it’s in the Holcomb Valley) so no view of the lake. Perfect for stargazing, though
4WD and high clearance absolutely necessary. The drive here from Polique Canyon Rd (or 3N09/Van Heusen Rd, which is parallel to Polique) and 3N16/Holcomb Valley Rd are OK with 2WD with high clearance but 3N76 (the road off 3N16 that takes you to this site) is GNARLY.
There’s a few more options along 3N76 but the farther you go in the harder it gets. I was gonna go in some more but my Jeep almost got stuck so I came back out to this site.
