Description

Ecolodge owned by Tito and Jane, on a magnificent white sand beach.

Accommodation:
-They offer cheap accommodation right by the water: bungalows are 150 LE / night, or you pay 100 LE to pitch your tent.
-The wooden bungalows are very simple: it’s only got a bed and a mosquito net.
-The bathroom is a tiny hut with bucket shower and a toilet. Simple and functional.

Food: Tito cooks for you, food prices vary between 30 LE (breakfast) and 100 LE (meals with fish).

Internet and electricity: Good network coverage, no wifi. There’s also a solar generator to charge your small electronic devices.

Access: follow the signs “Tito’s paradise” when arriving in Black Johnson (1 hour from Freetown). I paid 40 LE from Ogoo Farm to the lodge on a motorbike. The road to Black Johnson is tarred (except a small portion that’s in construction). From the village to the lodge, the path gets narrow and rocky, probably only usable by bikes.

Definitely recommend it for people looking for some quiet time — you’ll likely meet no one else on the beach except Tito’s family!

Latest Check-Ins

we stayed one night and payed 150 SLL for our camping car. for the access to that place it is better to have 4x4.
clean toilet and bucket shower, nice beach, friendly stuff but the place where we could park our car was a bit trashy (maybe off season?!) and many people passed during the night (friday night).

Now 250le for the cabin, breakfast 40le, dinner 150le. Solar electricity not working due to a recent storm.
In my opinion overpriced for what is basically just a shack on the beach, but very beautiful spot indeed, and friendly staff.
Maybe better to call/text before coming if you plan to have meals, so they can get supplies.

Nice place on the beach. Super quiet and possible to have breakfast and dinner.

Lovely welcome at this beautiful place on the ocean. We camped in the shade right by the ocean for 50,000 le. Did not try the food but it smelled good! Clean bucket toilets and shower. Last access road is a little difficult to find. turn down a steep rocky red dirt road near the large concrete house under construction with ornate columns. 4x4 only.
