Cameroon
We stopped here at the end of the day and asked if could spend the night here in our campervan. They immediately said yes and even offered us a room that we politely declined. We had access to a toilet and a shower. (Very clean). We parked the car inside the monastery. (big rigs okay). Secured gate. They offered us to have dinner with them.
Very nice brothers and a quite place to stay if you are on your way to Douala.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Very quiet and peaceful. We were offered dinner with the brothers. No charge.
Report Check-InWe stayed three nights with the brothers, they even wanted us to stay longer. We really felt like home. They always invited us for lunch and dinner, we shared our food with them and bought some pepper from the shop.
The brothers can call for a motorbike who takes 2 people for 4000cfa to the waterfalls. (Both ways)
We found this more convenient than driving up there with the car.
We enjoyed our stay with the brothers so much! They are so friendly and welcoming. Had dinner with them for two evenings. The second evening I cooked some vegetable soup to share with everyone as a thank you. They showed us their garden - really nice!! They grow most of their fruit, vegetables and herbs themselves. They indeed didn't want any donation or money. It's a lovely place to spend some time.
Report Check-InAbsolutely amazing people :) we stayed two nights in the big (and quiet) parking of the Monastère. The brothers are so welcoming and interesting. We could have hot shower (luxury!) and dinner with them. They didn’t want any money. We bought some local pepper from their store as a support ! Really recommend to come here :) (if no one is here, wait a little. It’s worth it)
