This is a great camping area on a water reservoir. It cost me 135p per day. 100 to camp plus 35 for my van. There is some awesome hiking very close. There are very old paintings made by the indigenous people from the area. Ask about these, check them out and then when you are there you can hike all over the hills to the south of the camping area.
getting there is easy. when I passed there was a new road that wasn't on Google maps that made it faster. once you get close there is a dirt road but it is easily passed with 2wd.

Truly wonderful spot to spend a night of two. We were charged 35 pesos entry fee and 35 pesos to camp… I think we paid less because we did not take a palapa. Great hiking in the hills. Busy but not too noisy on a Saturday night… would probably have the place to yourself through the week. Lots of goats. The local kids herding goats said they would not advise swimming. Could be an interesting place to SUP though.
