Something not right?

Description

Bed for 40bs and that price included:

tea time (6pm - cookies and several cups of tea),
dinner (7pm, soup and pasta), and
breakfast (6-8am, pancakes and granola).
This was a fantastic deal! The staff was very kind and they let us store our bikes in an empty room they had.

We were 4 and got a room with six beds with a private toilet. No showers available but you can bathe at the hot springs. We filled up our bottles with clean potable water from the spigot inside the hotel.

We were there in mid November/22 and they were building a new section up front so from the outside the place looked messy, but the rooms are clean and there’s couches to sit around. Would recommend!

Latest Check-Ins

Hostal all full up when we arrived so we asked if we could camp somewhere inside. There’s an old comedor area (an extension has since been added to the front of the building) and Pedro had zero issue with us setting up the tent in there, asking for a donation we felt was appropriate in return. We left 50 BOB for two - but Pedro is very relaxed, if you can’t afford that, it wouldn’t be a problem. Very thankful for four walls as it’s super windy outside! We didn’t ask about food, but Pedro was happy for us to use our stove in a corridor with a store room at the end.

Our only small complaint is that the single toilet that isn’t inside a dorm room smells pretty bad and isn’t cleaned much. Obviously you can’t have high expectations for a septic tank in the desert - it’s worth steeling yourself!

Seems to be the best affordable option by the Termales de Polques, even if it is expensive at 120 bols pppn. For that you do get tea, supper and breakfast, all decent and generous. Everyone else was from tour groups so you need to fend for yourself. Owner warmed after a while and was kind and helpful.

This area's often fully booked so maybe with calling ahead.

We spend a night here because all the other hostels told us they were full. For two people, we paid 240 bol for a 6bed dorm + dinner + breakfast. We found that expensive as the place is quite barren : no shower, no toilet paper, no electricity after 9p.m, unconfortable beds... The meal was copious and correct (soup + pasta). On the bright side, the owner was very nice with us. But I suppose there is more interesting offers around.

We didn't stayed there. the staff was unwelcoming and proposed a 6 bed dorm + diner+ breakfast for 100 bol/pers (8 months ago we read 40 bol/pers)
