We were stopped by the gendarmerie.They asked for papers and the 2 triangles and extinguisher. Make sure you have those. They let us go very quickly.

check point was a few hundred metres north along the road of where it is marked on ioverlander. we anticipated a stop and slowed right down. had windows down and smiled and waved. we asked if this is the right way to macenta and he said yes a few kilometres along the road.
