Description

As with everything in the world, this place may or may not be here when you come by this way. It got late and the Universe gave us a place to roost for the night. perfect spot. We did use 4x4 to get in because it's wet. The cloud forest is alive here.
There is a large pull out. We were gonna stay there but found we could just tuck up into cliffs up a small bit of road.
busy very slow going road. the trucks never stopped last night. however I slept better than I have in years. Highway 85 is exhausting. Not only windy but topes and potholes abound. Don't forget to watch for loose livestock.

Latest Check-Ins

This is a good spot to recover for a night after a long drive on the road 85. Sometimes it gets noisy because of the trucks, but nobody bothered us, not even in the early morning when workers came around 6:30 and started loading gravel. Oh, and you get to see a great starry sky!

Driving 85 is so long and tedious! We were going to stop at the Pemex with the palapas but there wasn't any level parking so we came to this place. So glad it is here! We drove up the little road to the top, easy for 2 vehicles. Yup, there is traffic noise but at night it was dead quiet and we slept well. This is a quarry and actually there is so we here this morning chipping out rock from below. Trucks stop on the side of the road here to check their brakes.
