Small road with marker near roadway. there are some pretty large trees for shade in the wash. I had visible service when I arrived but it has been spotty. Area is pretty clean. I did find two golf balls and a pile of wire duct. This spot is pretty close to the road but gunfire seems quite a ways away. Sixty percent less pew pew than Cattle Tank Rd.

Nice place with lost of roads to explore the desert and cacti. This is a popular shooting area which started before 8am on the Saturday we were here. They use the mountain as. Backdrop so I felt safe. It’s part of experiencing the local culture, which for me is a big part of overlanding. Pretty clean but as always please leave your sites cleaner than how you find them to keep these places open for us.

Report Check-InReally nice spot, look for the 6MileSign azt the road. And yes, there was shooting nearby. And obviously also on the spot itself...for Swiss a little bit strange though.
Report Check-InGot in super late and is a very convenient and pretty location. When I woke up in the morning there were shotgun shells all over the ground and clay targets all shot up. There surrounding cactus were all shot up. Apparently people don't only use the shooting range nearby. Due to this, I probably wouldn't stay out here again just on the very small chance a rogue bullet could come my way.

Report Check-InUnfortunately this really nice area is also popular with target practice. There was close gunshots from dawn to dusk. We only could take so much and had to leave after just one day.
