Hill top of the wild camp quarry. It's absolutely worth it, to go up to the top of the hill. It look like the quarry is abandoned since a while. Only old tracks. The road up was easy with our Landcruiser. Stunning view and nobody around.

This is a great stop. Beautiful sunset. Drove half way up the steep 2 track road to a flat area with trees. No one in sight. Road noise until 8 pm. Airtel signal on and off but off thoughout the night
Report Check-InWe went all the way up to the top, it is actually a mining area and still in use. We decided to stay a little bit more down the hill as there are some trees with shade. A guardian came as he saw us at the top, guess its not allowed to sleep on top of the summit, but he let us stay in the other area.
Nice location and very quiet.
Report Check-InWe went there at night. Unless we had the wrong location, which I doubt, it seemed like someone had put an unofficial-looking wooden boom (branch) across the road to the top. Was probably possible to wild camp at the boom but we were worried someone was going to come ask for a fee. If you get there during the day perhaps someone will let you go up for a fee?
Report Check-InStunning spot and so good to have a view over the plains! A bit breezy but meant that it was the first night that we didn't need to worry about mozzies. There were some branches blocking the road, but we just drove around. Lovely and isolated
Report Check-InWhat an amazing spot. Well worth to drive all the way up the mountain to stay here. The drive up is very doable, you will not need 4x4 in dry season. As said before, amazing sunset and very quiet night with no one around. Enough stuff laying around to make a fire as well, but could be tricky with the hard wind. One of our favorite spots so far in the last 7 months.
Report Check-InOne of the greatest spots we had so far in eastern and southern Africa to spent the night. Absolutely quiet night, nobody around and amazing sunset. Don't miss it
