Great little campground on Joshua Tree National park. 18 sites built in among the boulders. No water but clean pit toilets. Fantastic hiking and views. $15/night

My favorite campground in Joshua Tree. It's always hit or miss since it's first-come, first-served, but starting today (5/28/24), it's closed for the summer season along with White Tank down the road.
Report Check-InVery nice little campsite. First come, first served. We arrived very early and we did well, because there was a festival nearby and it was almost full. The landscapes are superb and the children loved to climb the rocks around. It was quite windy and chilly sometimes.
Report Check-InThis is a really nice spot to stay when you’re visiting YT. No water, flushing toilets or cell so be prepared.
Report Check-Init is very busy, we arrived at 12pm, you have to mark your place by yourself, sometimes a ranger comes to cashier or you have to pay if you leave the Park, no more Cash, only creditcard, some places are not for big rigs
Report Check-InSelf pay at the booth coming in but you have to claim your spot first. It’s a beautiful place but while parked and late in the night I had mice inside my RV! Hasn’t happened before or since but beware!! For that reason I would not stay here again. (I had the second spot on the right coming in)
Report Check-InYes, very nice campground. 18 sites, with one closed for repairs. 15 USD but 1/2 price with America The Beautiful old card.
Hiked to the towers on the peak to the east - no trail but always in sight of the campground. The California Riding And Hiking Trail passes near the campground.
Report Check-In2 vehicles (!!! trailer + towing vehicle = 2) / 3 tents / 6 people can share 1 site.
Not all sites big enough for 2 RVs.
Pretty busy during weekends (Thu - Sat) since a lot of people from LA drive over.
Filled up on a Sunday around 4:30 PM.
Great little campground on Joshua Tree National park. Around 15 sites built in among the boulders. No water but clean pit toilets. Fantastic hiking and views. $15/night
