Report Check-InWe wanted to stay at this camping, but Eddy was not there.
We had a hard time finding the place, the coordinates are correct, but there are no signs that indicate a camping. There is a white gate and from the street you see a small sign "we love turtles".
There is hardly any mobile reception in that area so we recommend to call Eddy in advance. Asking around we found a solution to overnight, people were very welcoming and helpful. Also it is allowed to camp wild next to the official picnic area at the beach.
San Miguel Beach is very beautiful and wild, with coconut trees and big waves.
Best camping we visited, right in front of the beach, very quite and amazing location.
There is internet , shower , bathroom and cozy hammocks to use. Camping price 10 dolares a day. Kids 5$ a day.
You can organize Surfing classes or rent surfboards.
Night Turtle tours can be organized with eddy to go sea nesting sea turtle laying eggs at the beach of San Miguel.

Report Check-InVery nice place to stay in San Miguel. Eddie is a very friendly Italian guy that has lived in Costa Rica for 6 years. He manages the camp site, gives surf lessons and there are surfboards for rent. There are a few restaurants close by, no supermarkets so bring supplies.
