Agree with everything said before. Still no signage but I think that's the way they want it! Just honk at the gate with palm trees on it and someone will come. Still 200 NAD pppn. We did the sundowner cruise and had a great time with Deon for 300 NAD pp. Small pool and cold beer on tap (35 NAD) were appreciated in such hot weather. If you've got a thing for palm trees Deon's mum has the most impressive collection up at the house, just ask to be shown them! Deon was really helpful with reccomendations for our route through norther Namibia. Recommended spot to stop for 2-3 days :)

Great location and sites right in the river with well thought out positions and amenities at each site . Pity no signage at all, both en route and even right at the gate . Wasn’t sure if we were even at the right location . Highly rated once you find it

Stayed 2 nights here.......this is THE place if you want to have a go at tiger fishing (catch and release) We took a half day trip and had the most amazing time! The camping is very comfortable, river front, nice laparotomy with plenty of shade, kitchen area, electric, light, bbq, excellent clean and spacious ablutions, friendly bar area and small swimming pool. We sat and watched hippos and an otter from our deck, you can also fish direct from each campsite and big tiger fish have been caught doing this! 2200 nam dollars for half day fishing and 200 nam dollars pppn.

6 Beautiful campsites overlooking the river. Each has a lapa with basin and a big fridge. Shared ablutions. Friendly staff. Clean. Bar with cold draught. Swimming pool. WiFi very iffy. NAD200/p/n.

Little piece of paradise. Really beautiful and quiet campsite next to the river. Ablutions are so clean, with hot water. Friendly owners, who can organise a sun-set boat cruise on Okavango river. Magic !
Meals on request and bar.

You can easily reach the campsite by bicycle. Just gravel roads from the tar road.

I think the camp was being renovated when we arrived as no one was running the bar, tools and stuff was everywhere, and it was a slight faff making payment. But the campsite itself is nice with riverside decks.

Report Check-In

Each camp has its own platform looking over the river. I would recommend site 2.

this place is really cool. there are 6 campsites with private deck area right on the river. the nicest place I stayed in Namibia. there is wifi at the bar area which reaches campsite 1 but not the others. there is mtc signal. went on a sunset river cruise 300pp including 2 beers which was just magical. the colors of the sunset with hippos and crocs in the river. definitely recommend. all the staff are super friendly.

Truly an enchanted place! You get your own thatched roof with a sink and fridge and a view onto the river. All the buildings are made from red brick and there is a plant nursery with many palm species. We were showed around and even got to taste some oranges. Deon took us for a three hour river cruise on which we saw many birds and also hippos and crocodiles. Yes, the place is not labelled anywhere.

Report Check-In

Wonderful location right at the river. Every site with its own lappa. Ours even had table and seats from where we could observe the hippos. They came out eating on the angolan side. Croc swan along in the morning. Highly recommended.

Very nice, friendly reception. Hidden Gem on the bank of the Kavango River. We stayed in the chalets. AC & hot shower was a treat.

AMAZING spot on the river with your own deck and lapa hanging over the water, kitchen, fridge, sink, lighting and paved braai area. First look from the deck thought we has a rock bar up the river, but was about 20 hippos sitting in the middle of the river. Perfect spot for a few days to relax watching hippos and crocs. Bar and pool, immaculate abloutions and river cruises on offer. 180pp p/n, highly recommend, have never had a campsite with private deck over the water.

Report Check-In

Very well equipped campsite with braai area, power and a private kitchen and fridge/freezer and lovely verandas with view over the river. Clean ablutions with hot showers.
Deon also offers fishing tours and has all the necessary gear if you would like to go fishing.
We enjoyed our two nights a lot, especially the sunset cruise on the river

Campsite n 6 is hippos tv. Big deck with kitchen and fridge.

Report Check-In

Such a lovely campsite with the best bathroom we had in all of Namibia. Our favorite place at the Kovango! From our private deck we could watch a group of 15 Hippos. The boat trips with Deon are highly recommended. Next time we will do a day trip on the river and book a dinner. We will be back!

All has been said. Attached plant nursery is like paradise. Great stay!

What a beautiful place! Lovely campsite with each its own kitchen and deck over the water. Lovely clean and hot showers. We paid Nam$180pppn. Deon is a friendly host. This place is a gem!

As described. Paid $180pppn. We stayed two nights. We went for a day trip to Khaudum NP.

Stunning place! 6 camp sites on the Kavango river. A place to park your overlander or pitch your tent, next to a tiled braai area with picnic table, and a thatch roof kitchen with sink & fridge + freezer (no stove) and a veranda with seating over the river.

There is also a little pond behind the campsite, so you're basically camping between 2 water edges. They also have 2 chalets.

As opposed to the earlier review, the ablutions are actually NOT private, but shared. 2 showers & 4 toilets.

Camp site 6 is the nicest (most privacy and the braai is also on the water instead of behind the thatch roof).

There is a communal pool and a bar. One camp site (4 I think) used to have a private small pool, but this is now inactive.

We paid 180 pp per night (sadc). Quiet and lovely.

Report Check-In

Stunning spacious campsites.
The tariff is now N$ 200 p/p.

This was our favorite place on the Caprivi Strip. Google map tried to take us down a sandy road. Don't take that road! Drive a little further to a proper dirt road, go down that road until you come to the dirt road that runs parallel with the river and turn left. Follow Google Maps from there. There are no signs for this camp. Turn right and go to the end of the road where it meets the river. The camp is through the nice gate to the left. I've included pictures. The host is an avid fisherman and was very kind to us. We would definitely camp here again...we didn't want to leave.
