Latest Check-Ins

Stayed here two nights in a row. Was quiet and peaceful. People came and went throughout the evening but nobody was obnoxious or noisy. Tried to stay a third night but around 7pm a police officer told me I couldn't stay as the park closed at Sun down. He also informed me that this place isn't safe to stay at night as it has a bad history for robberies and such.

Report Check-In

Overnight parking is not permitted. Should be marked closed. We were informed of this by the local police.

Report Check-In

Unfortunately overnight parking is not permitted here. We had just arrived and were eating dinner when the cops showed up to let us know that the park is closed at night and overnight parking isn’t permitted. He was nice enough and said that it would be ok to finish our dinner. We’ll likely move to the Bass Pro shop nearby. Too bad - it looks like a great spot.

Beautiful and quiet spot to rest for a day or night. open 24 hours. lots of parking space. restrooms open 24 hours and lots of trash cans. Near to a boating dock. Parking is leveled. and you are surrounded by lots of shade and a view of the Alabama River.
small hiking path but very peaceful. friendly locals. I am traveling with my 2 cats in a 27 foot shuttle bus. I stayed here 3 nights. My cats and I loved it.
